  1. Thank you all. Zena's Mum, you are in my thoughts.
  2. Thank you all. It's very overwhelming at the moment, like you say Zena's Mum, he wanted to be near us all the time so I'm finding it extremely difficult to function to be honest. I'm back at work today so that allows me to focus on something at least. Our other dog has become withdrawn & sulky & doesn't want to be away from us. I suppose it's in part to seeing us so upset & also she must feel his absence like us and be missing him.
  3. Thank you Harley. And yes he was, he certainly was
  4. Thank you Roova, he was certainly well loved by us all.
  5. I don't know if there any many members here anymore who remember my Fonzy. I haven't logged into this site in years. My crazy little guy passed away yesterday. Almost ten years we had Fonz and I'm feeling very, very lost. When he come to me he was this ball of energy, your typical puppy. He never lost that, until very recently. I often thought he should have been named Dennis the menace, such was his character. As you can see from the pictures, Fonz believed himself human, sit on the floor? I'll have a chair thanks! (Or the table, I'm not that fussy). He had to be near you constantly, if he wasn't sitting on a chair beside you, he sat on your feet, literally. At a hefty 10.5kgs you can imagine this didn't always go down well. You could always hear someone saying 'Fonz! Off my feet!' to which he would get up, do a turn and plonk straight back down on your feet again. And now I'd kill to have him sitting there right now. He had the best character & nature. He didn't believe for a moment that anyone visiting didn't want a dose of the Fonz like they were long lost pals, whether he had met you before or not. I can't find the words to adequately express how much Fonz meant to us, the happiness he brought into our lives or how much we appreciated him. So I'll sign off here and just say we simply loved you so much Fonz & always will ❤ Thank you for almost ten years of being just you xxx
  6. Im sorry to hear about Conrad My two pugs have raw chicken wings and necks as well as meaty bones. They eat a barf mixture and get sardines and yoghurt twice weekly and assortment of offal. I used to cut up the chicken necks but I dont anymore. I will give them something to eat first, like their sardines and then the chicken neck so they dont scoff it and it works for us. I dont feed any dry. I have one pug prone to really putting on weight so I eliminated that from their diet a long time ago. I always supervise with chicken necks and wings because I do worry and regardless of breed, the worst can, as you know, happen. I can understand your reluctance to feed things like bones, but they are so good for their teeth among other things, you would end up with problems I am sure down the track with his teeth.
  7. Thanks for the info guys. Another DOLer (thanks, Cockerlover! ) has kindly offered to make some.
  8. My aunty has a little Chi and is having a few toileting issues with him. I suggested Belly Bands (not that I know a lot) but cant seem to find anywhere on the net to get an idea of price or where to buy or even if this is a good solution for him. Can anybody point me in the right direction please? Ta
  9. I work full time but live 4 minutes drive from work so I am home during my lunch hour which splits the day up. You know my guys, ML. Could you even imagine if I left them to run in the house all day alone? :D
  10. I haven't been around in a while but when I heard it was you, Jed in the fire and the loss you had suffered I had you in my thoughts. I'm so very sorry for your loss, I don't have any words that gives this situation justice so I will just stick with sorry. I'm so glad to see you posting here and on the road to recovery.
  11. Talk about overkill! My kids love dogs and when out walking I am always careful when we come across dogs even on lead. I immediately say dont pat the dog, we dont know him and you might scare him because I know their little hands will automatically shoot out for a pat. Ive had some people say to me that I am making them scared. How? I speak calmly and dont tell them the dog is going to chew their arm off. Im simply making them aware that you dont approach strange animals. I think because our dogs are so friendly and would love every child they saw on the street to pat them , they assume every dog will enjoy being moddy coddled That poor kid will end up with a fear of dogs for sure.
  12. Fonz sucks on his teddy toys and cuddles with them when he sleeps. Tis very cute
  13. That "Poo Patrol" website doesnt charge by the kilo. Its $35 for 3 dogs (2 visits a week). Prices
  14. They will have a blast, Bub! I left my two ratbags with ML for five days this year. I think I might have text her about 10 mins after I left and then several times throughout the first evening :D They thought it was the best holiday ever and Im sure they didnt miss me for one second! Ba$tards! ETA here is a pic of Fonz and ML's guys. See how he is suffering! :D
