  1. Thanks both! does it need to be a specialised neurologist who does the test? I read about MRIs
  2. Hi I've done a search for this topic on this website and not found any thread. Does anyone know of reputable, ethical breeders for Cavalier king charles spaniels willing to export their dogs? I come from Singapore which is a country rather backwards in terms of dogs and where vast majority still buy from pet shops. The responsible/reputable breeder scene here is small to nonexistent. I have already contacted some breeders from online research but looking for more, especially since I think it will be hard to find one willing to export. My family has an existing dog (10yr old rescue) but she is mostly sticky to me, and now my mom wants a pet companion of her own (we all live together). I would of course be willing to provide more comprehensive background info when contacting a breeder. Online interviews and so on. Unfortunately at present we are unlikely to do an in-person visit before confirmation (which I understand is protocol for local buys) but picking up in person is not off the table. I know it won't be easy but hope a good breeder out there will be willing to consider us. I am also wondering about the presence of SM in the breed in Australia? I came across a thread that said it's more common in America/US and they haven't seen much in Australia. I was initially looking for breeders that had done the MRI screening for the parents but read that it's not so available in Australia and now am unsure if it's an issue in Aus? Appreciate any help. Thanks!
