  1. Oh, I'd also contact your state breed club (you didn't mention breed) if the breeder is a member they will assist.
  2. My Rotti pups never came with their papers straight off they always arrived later, Dogs Victoria were always slow (I understand the process is now much faster with online registrations) but while researching some past litters for the Rotti club, it seems some breeders do wait an awful long time to register. That could be due to reasons such as waiting to get them registered directly to the puppy buyers names or simply coming up with paperwork that went missing. I always recommend contacting your state breed club for breeders as they all have their own rules and health tests specific to breed that go beyond the state canine bodies rules. First step would be to contact your state canine body (Dogs Victoria etc), assuming they are ANKC, and not one of the other mickey mouse registries. But I never had to prove purebred for insurance. I'm with Bow Wow Meow.
  3. If AJP are involved, it can only be bad news. Sounds like another attack on IGP from a clueless leftie "While it may not be related to this tragic incident, in NSW it remains legal for members of the community to train dogs to be guard dogs or to attack people," she said in a statement.
  4. And animal activist groups trying to get artificial insemination banned, further eroding the gene pool. Backyard breeders and designer mutts are a problem too.
  5. apparently the dog was dropped off at the RSPCA. Why am I not surprised this happened in Victoria? What a hole.
  6. I recently bought a place, in a town near shepparton in victoria. I was keen on a place in mooroopna until I saw it was part of a body corporate. While it's rules said nothing about pets other than nuisance noise, that doesn't mean they'd stay that way, especially if the neighborhood Karen got their knickers in a twist over a rottweiler. So I walked away from that one fast.
  7. Exactly what I was thinking, obviously this person has no idea what they are doing.
  8. Contact your states breed club, they'll be your best bet. Much better than google reviews.
  9. Be very careful with government discussion paper wording, we know what a restricted breed is, but they are now saying "regulated" breeds as well. I know breed clubs, in particular the GSD and rottweiler clubs of Queensland have gotten together after finding out their breeds are targeted. From the rottweiler club of Queensland Facebook page: Also Mastiff is a very broad term, there are a lot of Mastiff breeds, are they all to be targeted? Or left to the discretion of local government? The whole thing stinks. span widget
