  1. Wow, I didn't realise so many people are feeding whole carcasses ... I've been going by 1/4, then 1/3, now about to do 1/2 .... he's on 3 meals a day though, biscuits in the morning, raw meaty bone at lunch then chicken at night. Been poking and prodding at bones lately, wondering if they're alright, are they meaty enough, too big, too sharp ....
  2. Ha ha, yes, must try and remember to keep things half-frozen so that he doesn't just chomp them down really fast. Hmm, will try and give him 1/2 whole and see how he goes
  3. By the way, if anyone lives south of the river in Perth near the Canningvale Markets, the butcher there have chicken carcass for around 90c/kg, large and quite meaty.
  4. OK, time for basic newbie question (feel like a brand-new mum sometimes ) I'm feeding Bishop chicken carcasses, about 1/2 in the evenings. I've been chopping them up, so for a whole carcass, I chop roughly into 1/8. Any pros or cons on chopping, should I just chop into 1/2 and feed the 1/2 carcass? I know he'll run away with it so I can't do the petting/checking/take food away thing.
  5. I am feeding Bishop-11-week lab on Pedigree Puppy biscuits (only breakfast though) and he gets chicken necks for lunch, and rice/pasta+chicken mince for dinner. The breeder was using Pedigree Puppy so I've continued on with it. I must say I don't really know if his poos are good or bad ....??? They are not runny, but they are soft (like baby's poo :D ) and just ... kinda normal?? I've been trying to pick them up regularly so there are no unpleasant surprises, but I find they are easier to pick up when they have gone hard in a couple of days! When you talk about nice poos, and firm and they turn white ... etc .... is this to be expected of in pups too?
