Just spent $18K on my Wolfie and cant count how many more thousands on my other 4 Lab Rescues all needing cruciate, I looked into insurance for this one as they have an "overbite" and may need extensive dental work in the future, but after reading all the recommendations on here l dont think l would bother now,

Yes it sent red flags with me big time, l was trying so hard to be "Responsible" l thought this was the site to go to as Breeders had to be registered to advertise on here, l didnt realise they can still "hide" behind that and Puppy Farm, he said the parents had to be DNA tested, l thought this would all have to be done before he can sell "purebred" puppies

Thank you, l didnt want to "shame" anyone, but if l dont get the Registration papers in the next week as promised l will be naming the Breeder not only on this site but everywhere l can, l will not support "Puppy Farming" under any circumstances, l am a Foster Carer for many Rescues and have 3 already, l brought a pure bred pup so that we could ensure that we were not contributing to Puppy Farming, we wanted a Bull Terrier as we had one many years ago and they dont come up very often in Rescue, we have a BullMastiffxWolfhoundxDane who has just cost us $18K for cruciate ligaments and other health ailments, we need a dog that he can play with but at the same time not do any further damage with rough play like he does with our BullArab, we also have a Rescue Jack Russell. I have had 4 Labs all with cruciates and all costing in excess of $10K and all Rescues, people dont want them when they find out how much its going to cost to repair and rehabilitate. This is the reason we wanted to make sure the Bully was healthy and that the Breeder was not contributing to an already overwhelmed system.

apparently this breed of dog have pre-existing issues that Insurance will not cover, if the mother and father show "pre existing" health issues then Insurer is well within their right to deny payment, we were told that in order to insure our Labrador against hip dysplasia, we had to have "hip scores" of parents.

Thank you, we have waited nearly 6months for paperwork to arrive, when l brought my Labrador, his papers were with him when he was picked up, and so were my Ragdolls papers, after taking so long l was starting to get worried, l may have supported a "Puppy Farm" and that would be the worst nightmare for me

Yes l have proof of payment, name, DOB and address of Breeder, what we dont have is any further information, we got a pic with vaccination detail. Ive got text back from Breeder saying that parents had to be DNA tested so they could be lodged with ANKC, my understanding is in order to "sell" purebred puppies on this site this should have already been done, how can they pups be registered if the parents are not????

Im hoping this will mean that we can "weed out" the very people who do so much damage to the Breeds by "Backyard Breeding" they are usually the ones who advertise on FB and MP as "Pure Bred" puppies but sell them cheaper "without papers" they have no interest in the Welfare of the dog it's all about the money, l have worked in Rescue for many years and constantly see the end result of pups that are sold on these websites only to go onto be "mothers" as soon as they go on heat. If people breed responsibly then this could only be a good thing for all breeds and the Breeders who are Registered, Responsible and who do the right thing

I thought l did everything right when purchasing our puppy, l searched all the breeders on site and read all the profiles. I was sure that the Breeder was a legitimate, or they would not have been able to advertise pups for sale on site, but we have been receiving excuse after excuse for not receiving paperwork and its now been well over 4 months, our pup is now 7 months old and we can't insure him as a purebred without the papers, is this usual??? Its been many years since l have "purchased" an animal, but both our Burmese and Ragdoll had papers when they were picked up, we didn't need to wait for anything to be sent, now lm worried that my Puppy may in fact not be a "Pure Bred" dog and thats why we do not have the papers.
