  1. I wouldn't recommend any injections to abort the pups as they are known to cause pyometra (which is a womb filled with pus); best option for you is to wait until she comes out of heat; meanwhile for your peace of mind check to see if that Romeo does still have his nuts
  2. I would wait for her to come out of oestrous and then promptly have her spayed. As you know, the heat lasts about 3 weeks so from the looks of things you have another 22 days so I would make an appointment in say 25 days to have her desexed; BEFORE you do anything though, are you sure that the male dog was entire?? there is a possibility that even a neutered dog nearby can be drawn to her and some can even mate, with no end result so I would want to check to see if he still has his nuts just for peace of mind
  3. GOOD ON YOU POODLEFAN - how refreshing to see that some people are open-minded enough to do their own research rather than carry on life like a flock of sheep to the slaughter; I only read your post after I posted mine as it's right after yours and it really felt like a breath of fresh air
  4. YOU HIT THE NAIL BANG ON THE HEAD MORGAN. Vaccinations are ONLY necessary to be administered to pups and a booster the following year. In the US the vaccination protocol has changed from yearly to every 3-4 years and because they acknowledge that there are repercussions to a dog's health whenever it is vaccinated, alot of pet owners would much rather pay more and carry out a titer test which is basically a blood test that checks to see whether the animal still has sufficient antibodies to protect it against these infectious diseases and most have found that usually up to 5 years later the dog is still in NO NEED of revaccination. Vaccinating every year is a MAJOR NO NO as it really plays with the immune system and causes auto immune disorders, most vets can (but I don't know that they'd want to ), admit that autoimmune disease can be triggered by vaccines amongst other things. Some autoimmune problems can constitute skin diseases such as an allergic dermatitis which follows a secondary bacterial infection, etc. etc. I could go on and on but I'm sure you get the drift by now.
  5. Most brands of dry food, especially premium brands contain HBA, HBT and ETHOXIQUIN, the brands of pet food that contain those poisonous preservatives are Hill's Science, Eukanuba, Iams and others so I would recommend that people in general research what is in pet foods before feeding the rubbish to their beloved pets.
  6. :D Hi everyone, nothing better than an egg but hate to put the damper on things but the white of the egg should never be given raw cause it destroys biotin which is a b-vitamin, if you must give your beloved a raw egg then I would separate the yolk from the white and give the yolk only, I actually give my darlings boiled eggs 3 times weekly, just wait for them to cool down and either peel them for some or throw them at others who catch it midair and they love every morsel of it - btw I also read sometime ago that the egg shell has to be cooked before administering to your dog because of cooking the shell is supposed to destroy some bacteria that it contains - I don't know about that one as we all know by now that dogs for one have a shorter digestive system to us mere mortals and plus they produce more stomach acids and hence that is why they can get away with eating rotten duck eggs (yuckie) and not end up with food poisoning or eating rotting meat that they've burried days before (double yuckie); although I hasten to add that I feed my dogs a handful at a time and they're is nothing left over once tucker time is finished, I'm a firm believer of the BARF diet and wouldn't opt for anything else.
  7. Hi Shehkina - I'm glad that Daecon enjoyed his meal but my only reservation is I wish it had consisted of something healthier, I can't quite remember at this very moment the ingredient that is used on those rolls but I can assure you that it is not recommendable and is downright unhealthy, also when purchasing ANY commercial dog food ensure that it doesn't contain the preservatives HBA, HBT and ETHOXIQUIN as they do cause long term health problems and have been banned in Europe - you'll find that alot of top premium foods contain those very preservatives including Eukanuba, Iams, Hill's Science and a few others; as an example ETHOXIQUIN is a rubber preservative so it shouldn't be used in pet food but nevertheless it is; the manufacturers of this product are called Monsanto. See if you can feed Daecon a natural diet like the BARF diet and to entice his appetite you can give him a few drops of Pentavite which is easily obtainable at pharmacies, it really works for a poor appetite.
