  1. good lord...she says ans she runs to the mirror to check every suit in the wardrobe....
  2. oh just to add to my last post, we can also pay a small fee to book a spot on a yearly basis..this works very well too
  3. at Cairns Shows we are allowed to set up the night before but on one previso....WE MUST ASSIST the committee in set up of all equipment and rings and roof awning.... at 5pm, once done they are happy for us to rope off, or put up gazebos...works really well for the most with everyone having cheery smiles etc on their dials....however at a few shows there are those that rope off enough area to have their own sheep station....still considrate enough though to leave gaps for trolleys etc..maybe there is something to be said for us country bumpkin lot..we do for the most try to be fair to each other....on the issue of KCC and BULLA if the rules say NO SET UP there should be NO SET UP..use non-tamperproof stickers to mark the offending property hopefully they do a skerrik of embarrassment left to not do it again....have mental picture though of gazebos looking like ticker tape parades lol...
  4. I would like to see this happen before any more changes or introductions of new styles of awards etc...JUDGES that will honor what they are signing.."I am clearly of the opinion that this dog is of such OUTSTANDING merit to be WORTHY of the title of Australian Champion" seems to me so much garbarge is awarded with no second thought as to a standard and in many cases with obvious genetic issues...and I flip out when I hear a judge say " oh but it is the country better award these dogs here"...anyways just my little bit of angst on the situation ....

  8. I dont have a Spitz breed so I dont think it fair for me to vote, but can I say when I have been in Bangkok (they have FCI) it is strange to see Poms against Sibes etc..as well as terrier group seeing Amstaffs against Yorkies...

  12. seems a bit over the top that you cant use them in the rain..up here in the far north ...thats exactly what all genies are used in....cyclones(ie: piddling down rain)
  13. Just had my tzu go through Melbourne....no complaints about staff and their dedication...knowledge in some areas perhaps..and of course the station is clean but very delapidated......for the dollars charged one would expect better conditions....oh and of course there are the rabbits (lol)
  14. Well, there went my old keyboard. Just doesn't like the coffee sprayed all through it's innards. :D ;) ;) dont know which comment I am laughing about more...nut sack and mental picture of the coffee spray ...
  15. was in Thailand at an ALL Breeds Show and they had a Thai Ridgeback Specialty on at the same time...on mass these were a very impressive breed. The judge is not to place their hands on the dogs and they must be judged by eye only. All these dogs whilst well behaved for the breed on the day, are animals that should be treated with the utmost respect. The majority of them showed agression which is apparently part of the required attitude of the breed. Had a long discussion with breeders at the show, and they stated that the dog should be under firm control, and the more agressive they are the better the point system for them when being judged. Merits of this breed are that they are excellent guard dogs, but heaven forbid if the wrong people get hold of these dogs...we will be reading about attacks by the dozen in the newspapers. So in my limited knowledge of the breed, I just dont see the necessity of this breed in the average backyard, what its benefit to us would be.
