  1. This is Lady, she was found tied up, outside a vet clinic Her owners had left her matted for years. Her chin was stuck near her chest due to the matts. Her bum and inbetween her back legs, were full of old dog poo, from a filthy garden. This pic was taken after three baths and nine hours of trimming matts out The tri boy is my own dog Bobbie.
  2. Hi Whenever I get a matted dog, I buy some cheap (very cheap) human hair conditioner. After the dog has been hydrobathed - I refresh the water and start putting the conditioner into the matts. Then the dog sits (full of conditioner for five or ten minutes. Then I run the hydrobath water through the conditioner, until most of it is in the tank. I keep using this water until the matts drop out. Then the slicker brush is used, while the blow dryer is seperating the hairs. Long haired dogs need a fair bit of grooming, to keep them looking stunning.
  3. Hose out your vacuum cleaner 's length of crinkle hose and hang it over the washing line to drip dry When its dry, connect it back onto the cleaner. Then put your vacuuum cleaner on reverse so it blows instead of sucks. Thats what I used to do before I purchased a dryer Margaret WA You will also find a couple of second hand dryers in here... http://www.dogzonline.com.au/classifieds/forsale.asp?cat=2
  4. I've got three rough collies. They are bathed on average, about once per month. If it's a show weekend, they are bathed weekly. They have access to the house and garden and pergola areas. Sleep on my bed or find a cosy spot somewhere around the kids rooms or lounge. Luv them to bits, and enjoy grooming them, & keeping them looking lovely. Having my own hydrobath and dryer helps too. Take Care Margaret
