  1. I have a Cavalier on Vetmedin (as well as fluid tablets), he has two in the morning and one at night with dinner. I can honestly say that since he has been on it, he has a ridiculous amount of energy and appears to be a little bottomless pitt when it comes to food Its been a miracle drug for my little guy I suggest you have a chat to your vet about the loss of appetite for certain.
  2. 1. Charlie 2. Iggie 3. Whippie 4. Greyhound 5. Frenchie 6. Boston 7. Mini Schnauzer 8. Boxer 9. Goldie 10. GSP ETS But I dont think id have any of the above anyway, I could never love another dog like I love a Cavie
  3. As a few people have mentioned, the quality does seem to differ significantly between various Lenards stores. Going back a few months now I was running late to get home after work, and had forgotten to get the kids BARF patties out of the freezer. I grabbed a kilo of lenards mice (they had never had it before, my dogs that is). It smelt fine, but was pale in colour, to which I was told was due the bone content. The kids loved it with biccies, but I only fed them probably 2 tablespoons of it each. About 12 hours later my eldest had horrendous vommitting and was diagnosed with severe Pancreatitis, and we expected the absolute worse. Several days later, and well over $1500 worth of vet bills he did come through. My specialist insists it was due to the terribly high fat content of the mince, and after ringing the lenards store and speaking to management, we were informed that over 50% of the mince mix is pure fat and skin. Having said that, I know several people who use the lenards mince and think its great. Probably just the store I went to, and maybe even just the batch I got? I would absolutely never use it again though, and I have gone off ALL premade foods now, inc BARF, for the very reason of having no bloomin idea whats actually in it!
  4. If its an amazin smell your after (and assuming the doggy odour isnt health related) I recommend Pet Esthe, and the Charcoal Mud range specifically for a white dog. I have just moved from Isle of Dog to Pet Esthe and when I open the door to come into the house, the gorgeous fragrance just hits you. Its really, REALLY gorgeous stuff A small bottle of Shampoo and a Small Conditioner will leave you with a few dollars change from a $50
  5. My MIL has a mini poo, 13 years old and pretty much never been ill in her life. About 6 months ago MIL suddenly stopped buying Royal Canin and started a supermarket brand, proplan or something similar. I think things were a bit tough with loosing her job etc. Poor Poodles coat went from soft and thick and lucsious to sparse and wirey in a matter of weeks. Infact it was so sparse you could see through it to her skin in patches and suddenly, she looked, and acted, her age! She has since changed to Natural Balance, the Australian version though with some sardines once a week and Poody has gone back to normal. Happier dog, MUCH happier coat!
  6. Absolutely without a doubt Animal Options ar Ormeau. Rowan is a BRILLIANT vet, and as mentioned by the poster above, he practises both conventional and holistic medicine. The other vets are lovely too and my dogs thoroughly enjoy visits for accupuncture etc
  7. Pet Pavillion in Elwood is brilliant. Estel, the spanish groomer is fabulous with the dogs. All the best brands, plus the owners parents own the original Pet Pavillion in London, and regularly bring over gorgeous english made beds and blankets etc Whenever we are in Melbourne, we go there, and when im not in Melbourne, they courier everything for me to Brisbane ;)
  8. www.jollie.com.au These are brilliant ;)
  9. Estel at Pet Pavillion in Elwood is BRILLIANT!
  10. Thats great news!!! Ill go ad tell Lilly and Leo that nanas awake and doing much better. They have been waiting very patiently for any 'nana news' :D
  11. Evening Jed! Just letting you know your ponies laughed at me today. I fell through your front fence and face planted into your muddy driveway They miss their mum, but they are both doing well, and enjoying all sorts of nice yummy things. I let them know that your starting to feel a wee bit better too. I have learnt that dinner time needs to be carried out at as faster pace as is possible if I wish to avoid a nudge up the butt, or a not so gentle 'toothy' reminder to my mid section Anyhoo, take all the time in the world, iv grown rather fond of them now, and Ill make sure they are all good until your back
  12. Not cheap, but extremely high quality. I buy all my stuff here ;) www.yapwear.com.au
  13. Your in our thoughts tonight mate. Lil and Leo are thinking of their nana and sending her lots of special cavalier kisses!
  14. Great news! Ill go and let the ferals know how 'nana' (thats what Jane used to call herself to my Leo) is progressing.
  15. Im one of the lucky ones though, I adopted two cavs from Jane in 03, and at the end of these hard days, I get to go home to them.
  16. FTP if your still online can you PLEASE make sure that you put one of your posters up at the Bellmere shops. There is a community notice board there and all the locals DO pay attention to it. Jane shops here and many of the people do know her and will deffinately look out for Magnus. I wish I could say we had found him. The ponies are well though, and between hesapandabear and myself and dad, we will ensure they stay this way. Was lovely to meet you today hesapandabear, THANKYOU for going out of your way to bring Janes ponies some feed. Thanks for the kind messages, I am fine though. I was overcome on the phone when Julie told me Ruby and Poppy were infact alive, now I am just praying for 'lil bits', another one I had a soft spot for. I know we are all praying for Jane and her dogs, but please, can we say an extra one for 'Lil bits'?
  17. Here is that photo: I think that is maggie not magnus i think magnus was the black one i cant remember. That photo IS MAGNUS! Magnus is GOLD. Maggie is BLACK. Thanks for that she has so many i cant remember who was who. do you know if little chichi made it it was a chihuahua she had brain damage. One Jane had rescued from a hot car. Hope all is ok once im home if any help is need let me know guys. No worries. I have enquired a number of times as to the situation with ChiChi but nobody knows unfortunately. I keep watching the media clips and I feel fairly certain that Chyna, Dolly, Bandy and Little Bits at least are safe. Cant decide whether one of those big boofa blenheims is Albert or not. I am very concerned about the wholecolours though, I have only seen one in the media footage so far.
  18. Here is that photo: I think that is maggie not magnus i think magnus was the black one i cant remember. That photo IS MAGNUS! Magnus is GOLD. Maggie is BLACK.
  19. I have just been in contact with the golf club that is adjacent. They are putting a call out to everyone on the course and will also make some sort of a poster with his details on it. I remember Jane telling me stories of her pooches going for wanders onto the greens so lets hope Magnus fancied a round or two...
  20. The golf course opposite Janes needs to be notified incase anyone sees him. Does anyone know if this has been done otherwise ill do it now. We have alerted the local shops where Jane goes and will put something up on the community noticeboard tommorrow. Magnus used to often go for little trips to the cheesecake shop, he always made his way home again. I understad he will be upset and stressed, but I have faith he would stick close to home. Janes backyard is big, and it dips down with a river going through it and alot of scrub. He could be down in there too.
  21. MAGNUS is gold, old, and large in size. MAGGIE is black, middle aged and correct size. Marg bred Maggie though, so it is DEFFINATELY not her who is missing.
  22. Magnus is a gold cocker, he is significantly bigger then an average cocker with giant sized paws. He is elderly now and has quite saggy/droopy eyes. Maggie is a black cocker, and she is middle aged. Maggie was bred by Marg though, so we would know if it was Maggie missing. The other gold cocker is Gammble, but as he too was bred by Marg, again, we would know if it was him missing.
  23. I feed Ziwipeak as my dry food, and complete meal patties (these are a BARF pattie, but are organic). I have tried the artemis, but nobody liked it. I do get the EP Duck for one of my boys as he likes it, and doesnt get itchy like he does other things. Personally, I think Ziwi is the way to go. I buy all of mine online at Pookinuk.com.au $5 delivery and that comes via a courier. Im In brisbane and generally get mine the next day. Service is BRILLIANT! They also have K9 Natural which is another food my little piglets enjoy.
