c m danes

Hi all .. In March this year..our new dane pup..'Rio'.arrived... she wasnt well from 4 months..but she had 18 champions in her line and moved really well..on top of that she was a georgeus girl..we bonded instantly...anyway last Sat..I sadly had to put her to sleep ..at just over 6 months..she developed a tumour..was unable to eat..and just was sad to see her deteriorate..we both fought it for a while ..but her pain I couldnt bear ..and I guess she wasnt coping either... We got rio's ashes today..were having a brass plaque made and putting her in her favourite part of the garden..I've worked with and owned dogs all my life..this is the hardest thing i ever did..to put my girl to sleep. Dont know if you have a tablet called Deter in oz..these work well..can be found in most pet shops..etc;

Hi just loking at this thread..can I ask if you have the dogmatic headcollar in oz, these are really much preferred as a headcollar to the the Halti in the uk..heres the link..for anyone interested.. Dogmatic Head collar

We have always used the Nzymes..seem to cover a lot of supplements if you wish to add in one go ..however things like yeast infection..ecszema tc..are nigh on occuring ..the blues we have there coat are great ..and you know some blues are a concern on the coat front ..you can only read up..if you find its for you then go for it if not !! just go on whats best and your own instincts...you know your own dogs best ..

We have great Danes on the eagle-pak.. can I suggest you look at this site ..a lot of us follow her suggestions with success ..hope this helps,, GreatDane Lady.

We brought up our danes on it too.. trouble is it isnt cheap in the UK ... £42 a 15kg sack.. is that err .. about $90 ? in oz .. but mine tended to get bored of it ,so i changed , but yes it seemed quite good ... :rolleyes: ca n I ask where you found it to buy , I have a friend in oz on this board who was interested..

Is Tyra frightened of water , full stop!! Norskgra ! only if she isnt .. you can do what I have done in the past .. wash them outside as a bit of fun.. it is probably the room where you wash her she knows ! and simply avoids that room with her uncanny doggy sense they all seem to have ...if not outside try a different place to wash her , see if that works!! On the other hand you can feel for us , we use a bucket and hosepipe , the same day we wash the cars ... then again we do have Great Danes .. they wont fit in the bath !!! Good Luck..
