  1. Sorry to hear about Eddie and I hope all goes well with his op. We have not been so lucky our little man Boris died suddenly on Friday. he had what I now know as a cluster and while on the way to the vet this continued by the time we got him there he was finding it hard to breath and was very hot. The vet did all he could including putting him under and inserting a breathing tube but when the machine was turned off later in the night Boris could not hold his own and slipped away. My family are devastated as he did everything with us. We only found out about his epilepsy two months ago and we were justcoming to terms with the fits and getting the medication right, I expected it to shorten his life but not that short he would have been 2 on the 8/4/06. I wish you all the best for your pets and would like to thank you all for the information I got from this forum it really did help when we first found out.
  2. Yesteday we lost our beautiful Frenchie Boris he was only 18 months old and he died from a seizure very unexpected and very hard to come to terms with. He was such a great little dog our house and our hearts are very empty. Boris.PSF
  3. Hello, I was wondering if any of you had tried the natural remedy for epilepsy and if it would be worth giving it inconjunction with the phenobarbitone. Could you please tell me once you got your pets medications right how often do they fit now and are they still grandmal seizures or do they just get twitches. Thanks alot Sheena
  4. Hi, firstly I would like to thank you all for your stories. We have a French Bulldog (Boris) who has just been diagnosed with epilepsy and its a pretty scary thing when its happening. He has been started on 30mg of Phenomav, twice a day and did go 12 days without a seizure, but yesterday he had another two 5 hours apart, so I think the dose may have to be changed. Normally he's a happy little dog who we love to bits, so we were so worried he would have a seizure while we were not at home, which up to now has not happened. But after reading your stories I feel like once we've got the drug side under control he could live a normal kind of life.
