  1. hello, yes I too had the same problem with my GSD (Dante) when he was a pup. We started over coming this by only taking him somewhere where he would have fun (eg, park, beach, SIL's house) and he would associate the car with fun. Other things we did were: - continuously talk to him whilst driving (we found if he was sitting down he would throw up- whereas if he was sitting up, looking out a window or his attention on us, this would distract him.) - put him in the back of OH's ute- where he would feel the breeze on his face. - if we saw his mouth all watery we would pull over and let him out for a bit, I was also told once that ginger biscuts help, which we found to be true. Feed them to him just half an hour before travelling, just a few. Good luck, I hope this help- and just remember, take small car rides to begin with.
  2. thanks guys- I should have mentioned I was looking for Advance and science diet- both sites had both- thanks. I find that no one really stocks or sells the advance puppy canned food.... K9katz & Kitchen does!
  3. My Frenchies run with my GS, but they are always supervised- and the pups are more hypo than the GS, not to mention they are inside most of the time. I would see how they play with one another, and only whilst supervised...
  4. Hey guys, Just wondering if anyone can recommend an online shop for dog food, I am currently going to local pet suppliers but am annoyed that they have put the price up by around $10 and have a sign saying "great savings" or "great value" !!!! They first annoyed me when they mentioned if I purchased canned food in bulk I get a savings- but one day when a new girl was on register I noticed there wasn't as she just scanned the can and timesed it by 12!!!!! Anyway- just wondering if any one shops online and with who? Thanks.

  13. Hi Erin, Paris does this daily- she loves a good scratch on the carpert, but sometimes I find the folds on her face can do with a wipe. Try looking in between the folds and if their isn't any gunk there- dont stress. Its just when there is the gunk there that you need to worry. If you prefer, just give the folds a wipe (I use cutton balls and the ear/skin lotion I have)- make sure to dry it aswell as any moisture can cause an infection. I hope this helps.
