  1. How can anyone know if BSL works or not if not everyone follows the law? I don't presume to know everything about it and I don't really support it..

But nothing will ever work if everyone just 'does their own thing' and doesn't try...

I don't believe any law should be specific to breeds I think it's either an aggressive/dangerous dog, or it's not, regardless of breed.. but that's not the issue here..

  2. Northern Star Pits you seem very keen on pointing out Luvabull doesn't comply and should she 'be reported' so how about you show us pictures of your enclosures etc ?

Some people think it's okay to drive under the influence and flout the LAWS and people get killed...

We may not all like laws especially if they are to do with the companions we love but not complying isn't helping.

  3. You made such an impact on my heart and life honey baby.

I'm sorry there was nothing more I could do for you. Please understand why I did what I did. I can't wait to see you again one day.

I love you. Ruffles misses you.

You have a piece of my heart forever gorgeous girl.

  4. R.I.P to the smallest member of our family.. taken from us too young.

Our little man was the best of friends with all our doggies and his mate HiFi the cat.

You died cuddled on my chest on the way to emergency vet last night and I'm so sorry I couldn't get you there in time. But at least I was holding you close when it happened.

Say hi to all my other little rat buddies.. and to all the other woofers and kittys waiting at the rainbow bridge to look after you.

I love you Gavin. I'll miss your happy noises and the fact you always chose cuddles over food

  5. CDM I'm so sorry - Ruffles and Kleo send their love to Loo and you :D Ruffles daddy Hunter is in doggie heaven and he said he'll keep an eye on her for you, they can play together

    my thoughts are with you

  6. I hung washing on the line thinking my Bassets short.. she won't reach it :rainbowbridge:

My OH caught her pulling his work pants off the line.. picked them up and shook them and verbally corrected her.

Did it again with a work shirt the next time we had washing on the line.

She hasn't pulled anything off since. I guess we're lucky she's afraid of getting yelled at :D

I found my gardening glove in the middle of the lawn the other day, picked it up and said "what is this?" Loudly.. turned around to see Ruffles curled in a little ball squinting at me with her head down... She knew she was naughty.. She looked so funny I couldn't even attempt to correct her :)

  7. hehe some might say pugs look like they were running with their eyes closed and hit a bus :)

don't get me wrong I think pugs are cute

Those Thai ridebacks look divine IMO.... but according to my family I think strange or ugly dogs look cute so what are you gonna do? :) ;)

  8. For about the last 4 - 6 weeks we've occassionally noticed a small wet patch on the back steps.. too small for Kleo's wee but bigger than a dribble patch so though Ruffles may have been getting excited and weeing (she never really has but we didn't know what the liquid was.)

Anyway, we got back from a day at the lake and Kleo was laying on the back pavers relaxing.. then some liquid started coming out from under her back half... she was peeing while lying there. and when OH tried to get her to get and go to the grass she didn't want to move until she had finished peeing.

So we figure the wet patches on the step are probably Kleo 'cause she lies there a bit.

She is a Saint Bernard... Is she getting old? (she's 6 1/2) Or is it laziness? Or could it be the heat (was 31 here yesterday)?? Or could it be something wrong with her bladder?
