Thanks for doing the results love being able to scroll through rather than open each result individually. The Gordon Setter Results for bitches aren't correct on the website (i assume they'll be updated, there was an error with the challenge certificate yesterday) BCC & RUBOB was the bitch Ch Drumdaroch Insatiable (AI) who is owned by M & M Nicol who lives with and handled by our family. Was a fun, but long hot day!!

I thought the Labrador was gorgeous! The way he got around the group ring was impressive (haven't watched BIS yet). I'm not normally a labrador person but he really grabbed me.

Cavaliers can and do change for up to 2 years. I'd never keep a Setter puppy with an undershot mouth, they don't ever get better. However we had a Cav bitch that was fine as a baby and then went undershot and it didn't come good until about 18 months. We didn't show our Cav until her mouth righted itself, we had other dogs to show so we left her at home until it came good.

I think you'll find that the problems at Bulla were from entries being sent snail mail that didn't arrive.
Any Tips For Keeping A Pup's Head Up On The Stack?
in General Dog Discussion
Posted
Try and start teaching the puppy to walk into a stack, with a big breed you don't want to have to move every leg. That way you don't have to fiddle too much with legs. I would hold the lead with my right hand and use the left to move the legs I need to. Once the legs are placed how you'd like them, I'd swap and hold the lead in my left hand on top of the head- like the first photo in this profile:
http://www.dogzonline.com.au/breeds/profile.asp?dog=35683
Then your right hand is free, so you can use food or a toy to keep your puppy interested, like this picture:
http://www.dogzonline.com.au/breeds/profile.asp?dog=37372
Once your puppy has the idea, you may not have to use the bait anymore. But while you are training it will give you the free hand to use food to make it an enjoyable experience.
I hope this makes sense and good luck!
