Boxers!!! Waterskiing, Motorsport, Netball......The list goes on!
  1. I agree with this working, If I have to growl at my dogs (and same when they were pups) a deep grumbly voice always works best!! :p And vice versa if they are doing something desirable a higher pitched excited voice makes them happy too and they know they've done good!! Even if you feel a bit silly in front of others but it works!! ;)
  2. Not sure if this helps or not but when I was first learning dog obedience we were told to not look directly into our dogs eyes and look over their head when giving commands etc as they will avoid eye contact as it is a form of confrontation for them. If the vet cant find anything wrong with her and you are satisfied with that perhaps she is just avoiding confrontation with you as she knows your the boss......just a thought, could be right off base though! ;) If you aren't satisfied with what the vet has told you perhaps you should try another vet to get a second opinion to just make sure everything is ok.
  3. We have boxers and they are just like puppies for their whole lives. They love to play and clown around In my experience though they do 'mature' around 18 months, but I think it varies with every dog!
