Bucket Collars

I bought Spot home today from the vet after being desexed and I'm a bit worried about the bucket collar.

I dont know if its just that hes not used to the collar or if it is constricting his breathing a bit.

Is it normal for dogs to huff a bit with the collar on??

I would imagine if you can fit a finger under the collar then it is ok. Is it attached to the normal collar?

If yes and it is not tight then should be ok. Is it a tanti do you think???

It sounds like it is too tight. Have a look at where the lugs are - if they are on the first set then move them to the middle or if they are in the middle then move them to the last. If they are on the last the take the collar back and get a bigger one. The dog should be in no distress wearing the E-collar.

Agreed!!!!

Tanti = I mean a tantrum. is it a tantrum where the dog is just putting on a performance for you, because of the e collar. If collar is tight then maybe not. You have to be the judge of that.
