Kennel Cough

Hi there all,

I have an Alaskan Malamute that I recently rescued from the local pound and the next day he was hacking and coughing all day, so I took him to the vet. I was told it was kennel cough and was giveantibioticscs as well as I was recommended to give him honey to help sooth his throat.

Now I have Lab giAimeemiee, who is so excited to play with Shadow, Malamute, but I haven't been able to introduce them properly as when I picked him up from the vet he stitchesches in and well my Lab likes to play rough.

What I was wondering was how long till afteantibioticsbotics is finished can I actually introduce them properly wiAimee Amiee getting sick orharboringouring the virus? Shadow finisheantibioticsbotics almost a week ago but is still coughing. The vet told me it can last up to six weeks and not to be worried.

Any advice on this would very much appreciated. I am not very familiar with kennel cough.
