P STampy, what are you doing up so early hahahaha. Its sunday!!! She is just adorable. She will get there. I have no idea, but im guessing she may be a spot of trouble to train after peeing where she sleeps in her cage at the pound?? Not sure, but good luck. Confined spaces in the house so you can watch her and PS we want more photos as she grows. :)

She was never in a pound, always at someones home.

I'm a morning person, even on the weekends!!

Well Ive only had her for 5 weeks now I think, but Ill be taking more this afternoon when this dog comes over :)

I'm not sure how its going to go, she seemed to socialise better with bigger dogs.. acutally, she only gets along with rotti's so far.

She was scared of a westy, and spoodle (i think) and a border collie X, but the two rottie's this morning at training she was fine with!!

I dont know if something is wrong with her now. Shes stopped whinging.

Last night I bought her inside and she went strait to her bed and didnt whinge.. this morning, not a sound.. Walked out and she was sitting in her usual position, but didnt make a sound.

She almost looks like shes not happy, but shes still licking me.. she just doesn't seem as "alive" as a couple of days ago.

I'm not sure if its because of meeting all the new puppies at training, or because Valkyrie's dog (sorry bryce) was a bit too much of a ... male.. for her.

On a positive note, she didn't piss inside yesterday at all.

totally. big play day means tired pooch. Dont worry too much

Sorry bout the pound mix up, i got the wrong impression about where you got her from.

She looks like a dog that will get a bit of sense about her fairly early on, Im sure everything will catch on soon.

Well I got home from work today and she was back to normal

So you were all correct, just a tired pup.

I took her or a walk tonight, shes great when there is nothing else around, but as soon as there is another person or dog, she hides behind me.

She seems so confident when shes "alone", I keep trying to re-assure her, and give her treats when shes being good, but I guess shes only young.

Well I'm glad it was that!

Ive organised for her best friend Max (the rotti):

to come over on saturday arvo so they can walk together. I'm hoping she'll learn not to run and hide behind me when she see's another dog (like yesterday!!)

Is there anything else I can do to make her a bit more confident - or is it just time?

Some dogs never like meeting other dogs. This is not a major problem cause them wanting to meet all other dogs makes it harder to walk them.

I would just introduce her slowly to other puppies or calm dogs on lead. You don't want her to become afraid of other dogs.

Pups have a fear period. This link explains when it happens and what to do: Puppy Temperament K9 Force . It also explains about socialisation.

Have fun
