  1. My daughter, her husband and their 3 children would like to adopt a rescue dog and as we don't generally rescue larger breeds I was hoping that someone here could recommend a suitable dog for them. The children are a boy who is 3 and two girls, one is 6 and the other 9 years. They live on the Northern Beaches and are very close to Bayview dog beach, large off leash parks and there are many great places to walk the dog. My daughter is prepared to walk the dog everyday, she will take it to and from school when she picks up and drops off, and it will basically spend all of its time with the family in the car or at home, my daughter does not go out to work. The family have two cats who are not dog savvy but they have plenty of places to go in the house to get away from a dog and I am sure they will adjust. The dog must not be a cat chaser. They would like a large breed dog male or female up to 5 years of age (no puppies) who is calm and well behaved. The dog must be brilliant with children (no jumping/mouthing etc) the dog must be perfect with other dogs as they will socialize it on a daily basis. The dog can't have any separation anxiety or be a barker. Their home is large and they have a very big deck that is the length of their house and very wide, the deck has a gate that closes automatically. It is on the first floor of the house not at ground level so the dog wouldn't be able to jump off the deck at all. I know its a big ask but it is important that they get the right dog or it is not going to work. They are a lovely family who adore their animals and will give the right dog a wonderful home. If anyone can suggest a suitable dog please email me on [email protected] Thank you Denise at Paws. www.deniseatpaws.com.au
  2. I have been speaking to a lady who is desperately searching for a Fox Terrier male having just lost her little Foxie who was about 16 years old. She is very specific in regards to the size, sex, age and type of dog she is looking to adopt. The lady is 74 years young, she lives in a very nice apartment with a large balcony where she has artificial grass for the dog to toilet on, she also walks her dog down to a small park not far from her apartment several times a day. The lady is not terribly active and suffers with a bad back, she has a lot of love to give a little dog and if we can find her the right dog it will have a lovely home, the dog is allowed on the couch, her lap and will sleep on her bed, she has had many dogs over the years and I believe she is a good dog owner. The dog can't weigh anymore than 4kg, less would be preferably, around 6 years old and not a bouncy dog, one that has been in foster care so is house trained, it must be a Fox Terrier and she prefers a male dog but could be open to a female? The lady lives at Eastwood and does not drive. I did put a dog with this lady but she was to heavy for her weighing about 6kgs. If you can help please email me and I will give you all of her details. [email protected] Thank you. Denise at Paws.
  3. They will find wonderful homes and of course will have their desexing done before leaving care, I would expect nothing less from you Andrea.
  4. How many years have you had Neville? it feels like he has been around longer than Grace. Andrea is so lucky having you look after her puppies, she could not ask for a better foster carer. Denise
  5. I am a huge Neville fan and love those puppies. How are you ever going to part with them Dru?
  6. Hi Nina, Your message didn't come through. Please email me [email protected] Thanks, Denise
