  1. Eza, she's HUGE LOL I would need to take her to the vet to weigh her which I will do on the weekend. I can't pick her up she's so big. I worm all my pets every 6 weeks and the family every 12
  2. I thought I would just come onlione and give an update for those who are interested After 2 weeks on Eukanuba large breed puppy food and chicken necks every 3rd day, she is looking perfect. She's lean but not skinny. Her ribs still stick out when she's eating, but her hip bones and spine are nicely covered now. Unfortunatly Frodo (my poodle X spaniel) has got major skin issues again he's been great the last few months, but then suddenly got bad after his last hair cut a couple of weeks ago. I've given him a flea treatment because I know he's sensative to fleas, but I didn't see any fleas, and he is on Prednisone (sp?). I hope this clears up soon, I thought we had this sorted
  3. phatdex- do you think they suck their tummy in to make themselves look neglected on purpose to get more food? LOL I have wondered this for so long now. Waverly- bulldogs don't live long enough :D anything that helps to keep her just that little bit longer, I'm going to do.
  4. Well I am starting to think that if she is unhealthy, then she wouldn't be active. She's always jumping around and playing and always has a wet nose, shiny coat sparkly eyes and a big smile, so she can't be ill ad under weight I guess. I am still putting her on a better diet though :D
  5. Terrorbull I have PM'd you about where I got her :D I missed your earlier post.
  6. Heyya Miranda what a small world! I know Terry's meats, I see it when I go to the bakery opposite with the best donuts ever I wonder if I can return the 15 cans of dog food I bought the other night from Coles. I think I've seen Mega pet warehouse too, so will go in there today and get some Eukanuba, I'm sure it'll be cheaper there than at the vet. Catch you round
  7. Oh thankyou so much, you are so patient. I need a lesson in doggy terminology I was planning on breeding her when I got her, but my plans are on hold for now. Frodo has been desexed and they are both enclosed at night (crate in the house most nights, but in Summer they use a kennel outside), I don't think I will have her desexed until she has developed more (after 12 months) so hopefully she will start to be in better condition for it. The photos of your dog are lovely, he's a very healthy looking dog with a beautiful shiny coat. I think he looked a little better than Bella in the first shot though, cause even though he is lean, he doesn't have bones sticking out. I saw a thread on silk balls, I think they were called, which are used for fattening dogs up, so I was thinking I may do that for a week to catch her up. LOL Frodo's "hairdresser" has just arrived... Thanks again
  8. Is it ok to feed a large breed puppy satin balls for a week as a catch up? My 5 month old bulldog is a skinny minni. I'm about to change her diet (I got great advice on another thread about her diet), but just came across this thread and thought it may help get meat on her bones faster
  9. oh and can I get this 4 paws stuff more localy, I'm in the Croydon area?
  10. So which is the large breed puppy formula? is there one? And I will go for fresh foods too ahhhh ok saw it's the Eukanuba will get it tomorrow Do you think she has a boxer body? My husband says boxers are thin, but like you said, she's does look a little on the thin side
  11. oh and here is he prrrrty face....brace yourselves
  12. OK lots of good advice here, thanks heaps I have to show her off though cause I love her She's not looking AS skinny right now, but in the morning she will be much worse, she's always skinniest in the morning.
  13. I was wondering how she could eat so much. Seriously I've never seen any dog consume so much food so fast. She doesn't even take a breath. She looks like she's starving everytime I feed her. It's just her ribs sticking out, her spine isn't showing at all, but she looks like she's sucking her tummy in all the time. I was thinking it was the quality of the food, but have had Purina recommended before from someone here. Soooo, I'll get some Eukanuba (sp?) and my local butcher is a really nice bloke, so she'll be spoilt with fresh meat Is it ok to only give raw meat though?
