You need to highlight on your entry form the change of ownership!(paper entries)
The catalogue producers need to change their data base - and until it is changed, the dog will continue to appear as owned by the breeder.
Re contacting Ozentries - I don't know how you would do it - but that is what you will have to do...and they will have to change their database.
Hi all :D
Yesterday I attended a show , and one of my dogs appeared in the catalogue as being still owned by te breeder rather than myself. I did the entry for the show through oz entries. The puppy was shown twice by the breeder in the breeders name, but this wouldv'e been the second show with her being in my name.
Apparently the breeder had entered her using ozentries the 2 times previously she was shown.
Do I need to contact anyone about this? or not worry and see what happens next show?
Thank you :D

I am a Show Secretary, and totally agree with Dellcara!
You have posted your entries - if they arrive and can be accepted, all is fine! Don't worry about
ringing to tell her they are on the way!!!!
There is nothing more annoying than constant phone calls to say I have posted my entries!!!!
Mind you, now I am getting the phone calls to say I haven't received my numbers!
More often than not it is because they haven't entered!!!! Grrrr!!!!
when I was show secretary for a club it would have driven me nuts if everyone rang to tell me they've posted entries :)

And another change (already notified) but since the advice to exhibitors was printed:
Mr F Arniella (Puerto Rica) has broken a leg and is unable to travel to Australia, so
his appointments have been filled by Mr Shoji Kimura (Japan).
Mr Kimura will judge Group 5 on Thursday 26th January, Group 4 and General Specials on
Saturday 28th January, and Group 6 at Cranbourne Dog Club on Sunday 29th January.

This year seems to have been jinxed!!! LOL
Australia Day International/Cranbourne Shows - Victoria
We have been notified that Mr F Arniella (Puerto Rico) has fallen
and broken a leg. This of course means that it is not possible for him to
travel to Australia to judge at these fixtures.
Despite the lateness of notification, the clubs have been fortunate to gain the
services of Mr Shoji Kimura (Japan).
Mr Kimura will judge as follows:
Aust Day Inter Show - 26th Jan - Group 5
Aust Day Inter Show - 28th Jan - Group 4 & General Specials
Cranbourne Dog Club - 29th Jan - Group 6

Hate to have to post this, but unfortunately, there is another change of Judge for Australia Day/Cranbourne Shows (Victoria) in a fortnight's time.
Mr M Urosevic (Serbia) will not be coming to Australia, and his appointments will now be judged by Ms G Taylor (Canada).
Australia Day Show - 26th January - Group 7 (Non Sporting)
Australia Day Show - 28th January - Group 3 (Gundogs)
Cranbourne Show - 29th January - Group 1 (Toys)
Please feel free to cross post as necessary.

If any Aust Cattle Dog or Chihuahua people are on this forum, please feel free to cross post that
Challenges will be available for these breeds at the Yarra Glen double shows in March..
Cheers

Just to advise everyone that there has been a change of judge at the PM show:
Mrs A Collyer is unable to judge, and Group 5 (PM show) will now be judged by Mrs E Warner.
Further to the schedules, Challenges will be awarded to ALL BREEDS at these shows.
Since the schedules were submitted to Dogs Victoria for publication, the Chihuahua and Aust Cattle Dog Clubs are no longer conducting Championship Shows on this date, so Challenges will be available to these breeds at both Yarra Glen shows.

Show Secretary,
Yarra Glen Kennel Club Inc.

Just to advise a change of judge for the above shows at the end of January:-
Mr O Yanchev (Russia) is unable to travel to Australia, so his appointments have been taken by Mr Thomas Alexander (Canada)
Mr Alexander will be judging
Group 4 - ADI - Thursday 26th January
Group 7 - ADI - Saturday 28th January
Group 2 and General Specials at Cranbourne Dog Club on Sunday 29th January.
Please cross post as necessary.

If the absentee rate is 80% - then I am very pleased to hear that!! Makes my think that there are
still some sensible people in the dog world!!!
Re the comment about some of the "officials" being from the senior ranks of the dog world, that would
be because they are the people who will help! And once you have agreed to attend, it is just not
right to opt out because the weather is unkind. JMHO
It is increasingly difficult to find "workers" - far too many of the participants are takers - not givers!
Flame suit on!!!!!
-
Agree with you, EF!
Show officials, judges and stewards have to go - exhibitors do not!
Serious consideration should be given to scheduling these events AFTER the heat of the day.
We need reliable lighting at both venues, and on the front area of KCC Park - not the back
area, which becomes too crowded, even with only 5 rings. The lighting is not good enough
there either, when the gazebos etc are surrounding the area.
I enjoy evening functions - was at an evening show at Durack a fortnight ago.
The diehard people will never give up shows, regardless of the weather, so tweek the scheduling
instead!!!
-
It is beyond me that people would even contemplate going to a dog show in such conditions.
I don't need anyone to make the decision for me - I have my own heat policy. It it's too
b.....y hot - then I don't go!!!
I cannot think of any good reason to subject my loved animals to those conditions, not matter
how much people say that they are comfortable and in the shade! They would all be better off
at home.
It is ridiculous that the controlling body has to make a decision for its members - for heaven's
sake, be responsible owners, and do the right thing by your animals...and yourself!
Off the soapbox!

Just a gentle reminder for those intending to enter the ADI double shows later in January!
Closing date is Monday, 2nd January, and entries will be accepted until Friday, 6th January.
Schedules are in the November edition of Dogs Victoria gazette.
Full international panel.
$14 per dog per show (babies less)
Cheers

My young girl was an absolute monster in Baby and Minor - dropped her coat, so wasn't shown in Puppy. She enjoyed
herself - me - not so much!!!! I used to tell the judges that I hadn't found the "Off" switch yet!!!
Came back into the ring as a Junior, and was much better - even to the point that I now enjoy taking her out! LOL
The judge only sees them for 2-3 minutes - far more important that the dog enjoys the experience than worrying
about some judge who wants a perfect show dog!
-
Anyone who would like to hand me their entries for the ADI shows, I will be at Lancefield tomorrow (Tuesday),
stewarding in Group 5.
That is the only day I will be there - but will be happy to take entries to save you posting them.
Mail at this time of the year is a worry!!! LOL
Cheers

One only catalogue for both the shows - each entry indicates whether entered at both or only one - and if only one,
it will indicate which one..
So the catalogue will be accurate!!!!
Regards
Gael
Entry fee should be obvious. You enter 2 shows, you pay 2 entries. I can understand the question regarding catalogues because if the one catalogue contains all entries and is to be used for both shows then it will be inaccurate for both shows unless every dog entered is going to both shows. It may not make a difference in breeds with bigger numbers but I have been to double header shows where there have been no entries in a couple of breeds in front of mine from one day to the next. It has made up to an hours difference on the time my dogs were judged.
-
Worked it out for yourself!!!! LOL
Well done!!!!!!!!
It is amazing how many people cannot understand the concept!!!!
Cheers
Gael
Will the one catalogue cover all shows Gael? So those who are entering multiple days will only need to pay for one catalogue is that right?
ETA - DOH for me if there is only the one number for both shows then obviously yes, but I will leave this post for the clarification for others.

Hi All
Hoping to alleviate some problems with entries for the two ADI shows in Victoria at the end of January.
The entry fee is $14 PER SHOW PER DOG, and less for Baby puppies as per the schedule.
I have had numerous entries where the exhibitors have indicated they wish to enter BOTH SHOWS but have
only forwarded $14 per dog!
I will also remind exhibitors that ONLY ONE ENTRY FORM PER DOG is required. But indicate Thursday, Saturday
or both shows.
You will only receive ONE EXHIBIT NUMBER - which will be used at both shows.

Of course show will be going on - the forecast for tomorrow is OK - and even if the car park is flooded now -
which I don't know - it will have drained by the morning.
-
slightly OT - but I was still wondering what other breeds have a ROMA title? Is it all other breeds or just shelties?
The ROMA title is not an officially recognised title - ie - not awarded by the ANKC.
This is no way suggests that I don't like it - think that it is a fabulous thing to
acknowledge that the individual animal has had an impact on the breed.

BIS - Bichon Frise (Tejada)
RUBIS - Lakeland

In view of the unpleasant weather forecast for the end of the week, and the weekend, the Belgrave

Sending exhibit numbers back to the exhibitors is really no hardship! In 99% of cases, the exhibitors send a stamped self addressed envelope, and if they don't, then the Show Sec. has to write one out anyway.
As an exhibitor and a Show Secretary, I want my numbers sent back - as well as the notice of how many in the Group.
Every Show Sec. needs a system in order to make the work easier. There is no "right" system - there is just the "system" that works for you...
What I would also like is for exhibitors to supply CORRECT information on their entry forms, and also entry forms which are trimmed to the CORRECT size! You would have no idea how annoying it is to have 1000 + or - entry forms which vary in size from A4 to tiny!!! Grrr!!!
Being a Show Secretary is hard work - don't forget that - and anything you can do as exhibitors to assist would be very much appreciated...
Off the soapbox!!!
