One of our adopted greyhounds we found out was fed on fruit, because she liked it, not only was she a skeleton and she had some bleeding from the gut...
Chicken Mince and Mutton Mince have a good amount of fat, and you can also include lard and Canola oil to their meals...

Can you cook me up some?

Sounds like a stressed little puppy - which is normal...
As long as she is drinking and seems happy, I wouldn't worry too much...
One chicken neck for her size and age probably is okay, also with the fact that she had worms, yep give it a few days to start clearing up...

Tia has been stiff and sore all summer
She has arthritis in her spine
I'm just about to start on the fortnightly injections - fingers crossed for her...

Frequency depends entirely on the dog. Mine bitch had a course of weekly for a month, then once a month for three months and now she is once every three months.
I also have her on a senior dog food with glucosamine and chrondoitin, and also give glucosamine tablets.
She was on injections every week for a month as well and now once a month...
She is also on metacam every day...
I'm waiting for the Sasha's blend to come through...
She just seems so frail and does limp

How often do you have to have the injections?
I had to inject Tia quite often at first and now I do it once per month...
Maybe I need to up her dose?

I guess like humans all dogs are different...
I haven't noticed any great changes in Tia and she has been on Cartrophen for many months now...

I am bawling my eyes out sitting here reading his story
How remarkable that he chose your son to be with when he passed on...

thanks greyhoundangel
They certainly brought us much love and laughter in their short time here
Amazing little animals
It doesn't quite seem fair does it?
After I lost my first girl, it was around 3 yrs before I good adopt anymore...
Love the names by the way, I have a Tia (greyhound) and one of my sweet girls who went through a lot is named Crystal (greyhound also)

Unconditional Love.
When a dog offers you his heart
Accept it with a smile
For his love will last a lifetime -
Which is such a little while.
When a dog offers you his heart
Take it gladly and with pride
For he will be a faithful friend
Ever by your side.
A dog loves you because you're you -
Not for how you speak or what job you do
You could be short, tall, thin or fat
Or ugly as sin, he doesn't care about that.
A dog knows if you're good or bad
He can see inside your soul
When he decides you're okay
To earn your love is his main goal.
When you're sad, he'll comfort you
And kiss away each tear
You may even wake up in the morning
With a cold nose in your ear.
When eventually the time comes
And the lights in his eyes dim
A new star will shine in Heaven
In remembrance of him.
You'll gaze up at the midnight sky
And you will hear him say -
"I'm so glad you were my human
We'll meet again some day!"
So, if this poem has caused a tear to fall
That's because you love the dog who's giving you his all
Go travel on together, happily paw in glove
He's the only one who'll ever give you unconditional love.
When a dog offers you his heart
Accept it with a smile
For his love will last a lifetime -
Which is such a little while.

With our hounds, out of the three that passed away, two ate on ground level and the other had his food raised...
It's a horrible condition, and I don't wish it on anybody's dogs...

There are too many variables when it comes to bloat and still not enough information known...
I am pretty sure though that there is an operation that you can have done to help stop it from happening again, as since it has happened once you will have to keep a close eye on him...
Good luck and I am so glad that you were able to save your dogs life, we have unfortunately lost three dogs to bloat
