sorry to hear that, it is heartbreaking. My old girl passed away a few days after I wrote on this thread so I know how sad it is after a dog has been in your life for such a long time

My Borzoi is 11 months old and has never had a bad encounter with Spaniels that we know of, but whenever we're at the dog park and a spaniel comes in, she goes ballistic. Barking, growling and howling until it leaves, it's so weird because she's such a friendly girl. Any advice or has anyone had anything similar?
One of my Salukis wasn't very impressed with a spaniel at close quarters once and I suspect it was because the spaniel's busy and friendly approach to life doesn't always sit well with a sighthound's more aloof temperament. I think the Cocker standard used to have something in it about "bustle" and sighthounds definitely don't do bustle.
I agree with the others that if your dog is reacting you should leave first particularly because if your dog decided to make something of it, the spaniel would be history.
Edited to say, most of the time my hounds are totally fine with spaniels. If you're going to have your dog out with others I would get this sorted.
I want a Saluki, it will love gun dogs :-) could it be that it doesn't like the activity level?

Thank you all for the kind words on my sunrise photos.
Waking up early is becoming a habit lately (and not a wanted habit either), this weeks photo is another sunrise taken a couple days ago. I think this heat is driving me insane
again putting up 2 photos taken 10 minutes apart, the sun rises so quickly.

This little baby 'blue wren' had a lucky escape 4 days ago when it was struggling to fly when first out of the nest. I managed to put it in a tree and have been watching closely for a few days. It is now flying well although is still under the solicitous care of its parents. It's tail feathers have doubled in size in the last four days!

We've had a fair bit of rain here recently so it was nice to get to the beach once it had stopped :)

not sure if it has changed or not but if it is Delta they are supposed to attend a dog show to find out about different breeds. Maybe remote students?

Ok so my week 3. Tilly has a skin condition and she is looking shabby at the moment - my plan for the year was Bella with a plain background at home with different props, so now it is Tilly outside at a distance LOL. I have adjusted her medication so soon hopefully she will look good instead of homeless and uncared for
