  1. Will keep that in mind. Just trying to get into vets at moment around work. Hopefully will know what I will do next week.
  2. No, no pet insurance. Dreading the bill but it has to be done and if it means working 3 jobs then that is what I will have to do. Wont be the first time I have gone into the thousands though.
  3. Sorry to hear about that, its awful to go through. My boy is a 14yrs old whippet/heeler and did suffer a few smaller bouts then a big one. I changed his diet to roo meat (cooked, hes spoilt) and rabbit, alternative days. The only biscuits he gets is the Royal Canin sensitive. I found that this stopped the attempted throwing up too. I did slip up though one day and gave him (and the other 2) a marrow bone one day, within a few hrs he was throwing up and was miserable. Now he only gets roo tails. I am very strict on what I give him as a treat and make sure that he never gets a high fat (even small bit) and almost kill the family when they try. It might cost a bit to feed him this but he is happy and that is all that matters. Hope things get better for you soon.
  4. Hi, No I havent had a consult with a dermatolagist, as there isnt one closer than 3hrs away. (Cant get out of work either). New job no holidays for a while. Feet too sore and red to leave much longer. Vet did say we could try that first or get the blood tests done and look at the injections. But due to the distance and not being open on a Sat, I have to go blood tests first.
  5. Hi Guys Just after some advice on desensitizing injections. I am having to consider this path and wondering what experiences other people have had. I know that my dog has a grass allergy (on her feet and sometimes her belly) that gets to the stage of tablets every winter and this year its worse. I hate putting her on the steriods and the antihistamines just dont do it for her any more. Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.
  6. Hi Guys, I am still alive, just been flat out at home. Been trying to fix a few things. As for getting on the net at home, well there is dial up and then there is my snail dial up. There is something to be said for living in civilisation. T&T will let me know if you guys are all meeting up soon. Bye for now. PS Mawson, that other 4 legged furry thingy we were talking about got adopted very quick!
  7. Hi Everyone. Yes I have moved, but lucky was the weekend before, this weekend was the clean up and mow the lawn. (and I did it Saturday afternoon, and ended up drowned). All done now, though still have Iris's to dig up if I get around to it - anyone want any??? New place is fun, cow poo, mud paddock and burs with a long haired dog! Anyone want to come visit??? There is a dam too.... grrrr, she likes the water even when its raining. Glad your guys are all safe and warm Pandii, its good that it is finally getting some use. Looks like we will have to pick our days for a get together now, I hate the wind.

  12. Those photos are ................well no one has ever captured my guys like that, they are wonderful. You must have been on the ball with the shot of kitten, all fluff ball! Nan looks like she was having a wonderful time with Lacy. Hopefully see you tomorrow, and who else can make it. To those that cant, Happy Easter.
  13. Today was great! Glad my guys settled in with the big dogs, helps when both Bruno and Mawson are sooks. Was a big day for them, the oldies slept for 2hrs straight as soon as we got home. Will have to see how they are moving on Sunday before i commit, could be a bit much for them but will see. Cant leave 2 home and bring one, I come home to something destroyed every time so have learnt my lesson. Great to catch up with you Mawson, it is a really small world isnt it.! TLC thats great about Lacy, though how can anyone not love her! Thinking of you Pandii, hope you feel better soon. Now all I have to do it catch up with rest of you guys so I can put faces to names.
