I also use Bonnie Working dog (kangaroo based) & Bonnie puppy and the dogs look great and all love it. I use to use the complete but wasn't to happy with it when they changed it to a chicken base. Great value in my opinion.

My vet requested I didn't feed chicken necks to my puppies in a pack environment. A client of his lost 2 Shar Pei puppies to them choking on them. I prefer chicken frames for my adult dogs as they just inhale the necks, no chewing, which freaks me out.

Hi Rugerfly, yes they are about $950-1000 now a days. My first Golden 9 years ago cost $750, so your a bit behind in the times LOL . Parents should be hips/elbow scored & with clear current eye certificates, some will also have heart certificates, thats if purchased from a reputable breeder. Backyarders sell for around $650 with no testing.

Hi Bigdogg, Yes I use Bonnie puppy, have raised 3 litters (Golden Retrievers) on it to date and not had a problem with any of them. My adult dogs also get fed the Bonnie working dog plus chicken frames & bones and look amazing. Have tried the more expensive brands but never saw any difference in my dogs, maybe the poo's were a bit smaller but thats all.

I also feed mine Bonnie but I prefer the working dog formula as it is made out of Kangaroo (about $40 for 20kg) they also get chicken frames or raw bones once a week. I get my chicken frames from Springvale for 50c a kilo they have lots of meat still on them including the neck & liver etc.
