  1. euk is good too i fed that for ages... it's hard when people come into my shop and ask what's a good food to feed their dog.. they're all good lol, as long as you feed a complete diet, but some dogs do well on some better than others.
  2. lucky! i was planning on using it for tooth pain a while ago and i read up on it heaps but wasn't gme to try bcoz of the ratio of good to bad info i found.. i just used nurofen instead
  3. i think it's a throwback from the old hunting days when the hunters would roll in the prey's poo to cover their smell... or maybe they just like it. i'm lucky my dog never does anything disgusting like that! yay!
  4. i feed my baby royal canin german shepherd adult formula and i think it's awesome. it's nice big pieces which she loves and smells nice and meaty. she's only been on that the last two big bags and for years befor that she was on a mixyure of Iams or Eukanuba, depending on how poor i was when i went to buy a bag, or what they had in stock. even thouh she's only 15kg, i feed her on the large breed formula and it has extra's for her joints and as she's a basset x german shepherd think she needs it! i swear by the premium foods and it's nice and easy at meal times bcoz i just measure her out a cup and she's done she still gets chicken necks, leftover meat and treats occasionally but it's easier and better whe i'm cleaning up her poo's if i give her the premium stuff. plus cost per day works out cheaper than feeding anything else.
  5. i saw a lady on a doco who turned grey as well. it's awful. google it first and read up on it and i've read some bad things about it. use only in moderation!
  6. i had a lady call me today to also say that advantage wasn't working for her. i would suggest you try frontline, it does the dog's surroundings as well. it's what i use and there's never a flea on her.
  7. DO YOU KNOW WHERE you can buy this stuff in vic? i cant seem to find it.
  8. roxy is rioght, the product does use he oils to carry it through the coat. you should bathe your dog then wait at least 24 hours beofre applying it. i would say that would be why he had the reaction this time and while they may have a different active ingredient, if the word sounds slightly similiar it means that it has the same base, just slightly diff chemical composition. so you may be better switching to frontline or something if it continues., good luck
  9. i was told the reason you get the burn patches is a PH imbalance. so if you check what food you are feeding and maybe change to something without wheat you will notice they stop without having to buy the rocks.
  10. i wouldn't use nature's gift.. yuck.. eagle pack have a loyalty card where once you buy ten bags you get free one. most places who sell it should have access to the loyalty cards from the rep. and at the moment petstock have buy one, get one free on advance dry food 3kg bags. i don't really LIKE advance but it's still a premium food and i've seen dogs doing well on it. so thats 6kg of premium food for under $30. you can mix up a few different varieties that way... get two puppy, two senior and two adult and you'll be set for a few weeks other than that i would suggest keeping them on the dry foods that are specifically designed for their age and weight so you get a good fat/protein mix that is suitable for them.
  11. try royal canin next time. most fussy dogs will eat it
  12. i work for petstock so i would recommend the more expensive one... lol... AND i think you should buy fifteen of them
  13. off the top of my head, i think the holistic range is designed for adults and pups... ??? or maybe thats just in the cat range... ask at your local food shop they'll know.
