  1. I'm assuming that you are cooking for flavour/variety and to top up their dry ? I'd leave all pasta/rice and grains out of the cooked food and make it simply meat and veg. The pasta and rice is just fillers that they don't need. Mine are fed all raw but there have been times when I've cooked for the dogs in the past and have included things like my carrot and potato peels in the stew, along with extra veg and the meats. Hi Jackie, Yes pretty much, just to add some variety to their diet. They've done fine typically with their normal diet, just wondered whether others also created dishes as such. Cheers, Mel
  2. Have to agree with you on that, we once had a bitch who suffered horribly with car sickness. We too were advised to give her a junket tablet 1/2 hr prior to travelling and she was perfect. No vomits at all
  3. Thanks for the replies people's, much appreciated!! As I said, we also feed a good variety which includes a fair amount of raw produce but also have started feeding a mixture of meats with veg etc included. They too also get sardines and yogurt added to their kibble. Currently ours guys are on Proplan and are doing very well. We were feeding Holistic but found it difficult to get at our pet warehouse stockist. Edited due to my poor spelling Cheers, Mel
  4. Hi All, Not sure if this has already been discussed elsewhere on the forum but was just curious as to what others might cook up for their dogs. Currently we make up a big batch of mixed beef mince and shredded chicken mixed through with fresh parley, garlic, mixed vegies +/- pasta or rice adding this to our kiddies dry kibble for dinner. We also feed a variety of raw cuts throughout the week i.e. chicken necks, etc. What do some of you guys make up in large quantities?? Cheers, Mel
  5. Thanks everyone for your kind words, it was the worst thing we have ever had to do - saying goodbye to such a special boy. R.I.P Kaney boy, we love you xxx

You will be forever remembered for your happy dance, your big smiley face and how much you loved to play with your toys. Forever in our hearts, Mark, Melissa, Monique, Nos, Ebony & Molly xxxxxxx Cut The Leash Cut the leash that holds me here dear friend and let me run, Once more a strong and steady dog, my pain and struggle done, And don’t despair my passing for I won’t be far away, Forever here within your hearts and memory I will stay, I’ll be there watching over you, your ever faithful friend, And in your memories I’ll run a young dog once again.
  7. Our pups have taken straight to mince as well as Advance Rehydrate soaked in boiling water (cooled of course). They are still on mum and hopefully will be till they are at least 5wks old. Thanks for the replies guys
  8. Hi Josh, We have 4 of these gorgeous guys. Ours are generally fed a slice of toast and a small amount of dry food in the mornings. They have a decent meal at night generally consisting of 1 to 1.5 cups dry food (we use Bonnie and Advance) plus 1 sardine in oil as well as 3-4 chicken necks or as an alternative each will have 200 - 250grams of high grade mince plus any left overs. Our guys are walked every night for 3kms and all look in super shape, by the sounds it seems like you are feeding yours fine. Always nice to know what others feed tho ;)
  9. We've feed Bonnie Puppy to our puppies before and all did very well. Alternatively if you wanted to try something a little more expensive - Advance Puppy Growth is great ;)
  10. I know this subject has probably previously been posted but thought I'd ask what other breeders do when initially starting to introduce food to their young puppies. Pups generally have are introduced to their first solid food (meal) around the 3wk of age mark, what do you guys as breeders generallly start your puppies on? i.e high grade mince, high grade dry soften with water, a mixture of cows milk dialuted with 50 % water blended with weetbix or farex. Cheers ;)
