  1. Also be careful your pup doesn't lick the area too much. My girl licked her stitches constantly and ended up with an infection. In the end she had to wear one of those plastic things around her head to stop her licking, plus we had to put her on anti biotics and anti inflammitories.
  2. Ooh, sounds like a great idea. I'll try doing that straight away.
  3. When I am out I keep the dogs in the kitchen/hall area. They don't stay outside because our fences are not secure and I don't trust my neighbours.
  4. I'm having quite a bit of trouble stopping my two pups from barking everytime our neighbours go outside. Unfortunately I live in a unit and for some reason live next to neighbours on both sides who are in and out of their homes 20 times a day. My dogs like playing in the yard but the second a neighbour goes outside they bark like crazy. Inside I use a bottle of water and give them a spray when they bark, works really well and usually only have to do it once or twice to stop the barking for the rest of the day. But when they are outside they usually stop barking when they see me coming. About a month ago I bought an ultrasonic bark stop (http://www.asseenontv.com/prod-pages/lentek_bark_free.html). I know it is going off when they bark because it makes a clicky sound, but they don't seem to even care. I'm really out of ideas here. Can anyone help?
  5. Thanks, that's what I thought. And what about using half tablets?
  6. Looking at changing to Sentinel Spectrum for my pups. Seems like an easier way to worm with one dosage per month. Just had two quick questions. Do I need a product like Frontline aswell? I've read in the forums that a few people don't worry about flea protection as they don't get them where they live. If this is the case, could I get away with having Frontline on hand in case on of my pups gets fleas? Also, my puppies are 5.5kgs and 3.5kgs. Is it safe for me to give them half a tablet each of the 4.5kg-11kg variety?
  7. I have two puppies, one (Freckles) is happy to use the doggy door to go outside and do her business. The other (Bruno) will use the door when Freckles or I hold him open for him, otherwise he just sits there staring at the door. I have tried luring him out with treats but he just won't go through unless its held open. He won't even come through when it's half open. I'm out of ideas. Until now I was holding the door up permanently with string, but it's getting too cold and defeats the purpose of the doggy door. Can anyone help?
  8. She is 8 months old. I wormed her last Tuesday, so a bit over a week. I can't think of any other reason why she would be vomitting.
  9. I recently switched to Drontal as an all wormer and gave my Mini Foxie her first dose last week. Since then she has vomitted at least once per day. Other than the vomitting she is behaving normally. Is it possible the Drontal has caused this?
