  1. Kelpiesrule I am so sorry to hear of your loss...RIP little one I have come to the conclusion that this month just sucks There has been just so much heartache Although I haven't lost any babies(puppies) I have lost this month also (newborn foal at 18days old due to incompetant vet), I feel for you all and can only hope that the new year brings a little more happiness...
  2. Sounds fair to me! :p And when he yells at me, I shall point him to this thread and let him see that I'm not the only one who thinks he is breaking rules! Now that we have sorted out which boy for you, in a few weeks someone is going to have to help with picking out a girl for me...
  3. well maybe if he's not going to play by "Rogers" rules, then he will have to sit in the naughty corner and he can't play at all
  4. you could always let Mr Ellz in on the secret......ie You and Rodger voted and he lost so now he can have the choice of the girls
  5. that's cheating... , you get to see their movement.... I liked Miss Green because of her head front on, but yes totally agree that she isn't standing the best... I absolutely love Mr Khaki...aka Rodger, he looks to be quite the showman, stacking already... Still like Miss Yellow, but Miss Orange has a lovely head front on.. You have a hard decision to make and I'm glad its you;) but you have heaps of time on your side..
  6. You did a really good job, even if it was one handed.... really like that KHAKI boy, girls , GREEN & YELLOW... They are all nice babies..
  7. Oh bless her little cotton socks. I hope she continues to go from strength to strength for you. Beautiful little girl....
  8. I am so sorry for the loss of your little ones. RIP babies
  9. Ohhhh Leanne, I know you have been through hell and back with Scarlet, but oh my god, those babies are just beautiful :p , lovely big fat squishy babies... make you just wanna grab 'em and Shellbyville, Love the pics, look like they are ready to be Santas Little Helpers , and they are all getting so big!!!!
  10. My sincerest condolances for all of those who have had their special ones taken from them this month, it hasn't been the kindest of times for many. Kelpiesrule & Yarrowfell, those pics are just delightful, love the little fat bellies.. My guys are doing well, weighed them yesterday at 10days and am pleased to say they have at least doubled their birth weights, the wee little girl has almost trippled, although still alot smaller than her litter mates, she seems to be catching up at a great speed. Here is a pic of them all, "the puppy pile" taken this morning.
  11. OMG, that is just so sad, LMWS, I am so so sorry for your loss, I can't imagine what you must be going through. Please know that we are thinking of you.
  12. All the best with your girl, hope things go smoothly. Leanne, my little girl yesterday, was over 350g, she is defnately determined and going great, and the others have all gained over 300g as well. Indy is doing a great job. Fantastic news about Scarlet, hope you are feeling alittle less stressed, things sound like they have finally settled down a bit for you
  13. Congrats Yarrowfell, Look forward to the pics of the new baby puglets...
  14. going by these temp readings, I would have assumed that she would have had them not long after the reading on the 9th of 35.4...... She certainly hasn't been reading any books Good luck and hope she decides to swing into gear for you soon
  15. Yeah, she is very petite...and quite the favourite with the kids. That pup is one of the males, and is very interesting. I was stoked when I had 5 females, but everytime I look at them, I keep getting drawn to that coloured male. Looks like I may end up keeping a couple
  16. That's fantastic news, and sending ''healing'' vibes your way for Scarlet. I think Storm deserves something yummy for her efforts too what a good girl she was for you today. Leanne, hope you are feeling a little less stressed now, I know it can all get a little bit overwhelming but you made it through the day and now your girl is back home with her babies, so all has worked out. Now you just need to get some well earned rest, even if it means catching a power nap here and there,(they really do work a treat )
  17. Well, was doing the daily bed change this morning, and was able to get these quick pics while Indy was out having a ''toilet break'', then got 1 when she came back(which I might add was really quick, she does not leave the babies for very long at all) It is easy to see my wee little girl, and how much difference there is in size. (she is the one with a tiny bit of black on her ear and in the pic with Indy, she is right at the end between her back legs)
  18. Leanne, You can't blame yourself, you couldn't possibly have known that things would have turned out this way. She is a gorgeous girl, who has a litter of gorgeous babies, but has unfortunately had a run of bad luck which has in turn caused alot of stress & not doubt, copious amounts of $$$ (and I know exactly how this feels, so I honestly can completely sympathise with you). Let us know how you get on, hope things work out and have everything crossed for a complete (incident free) recovery for Scarlet, and for a little less stress for you.
  19. No none at all, she does have very hard skin though. On Sat he put tripple the amount of stiches in that he normally would. He said he was going to try something different this time. Just put the pups on Storm and she loves them but didn't have milk so will try again in half an hour, if not I will have to give them a bottle Good news about your little girl Leanne Well I hope whatever he does this time that it works out, scarlet must be getting quite sore after her ordeal. How long before you can get her home?? if its not going to be too long, maybe you might be able to wait and just return them for a feed instead of having to resort to the bottle if Storm doesn't have enough...just a thought The little girl, it was quite clear when she was born that she had obviously resulted from the second mating, and although she is still obviously so much smaller than the others, I am so pleased she is picking up so quickly.
  20. well I just weighed my wee little girly, born at 240g, she lost 20 grams in the first day but has been doing really well, yesterday had put on 30grams which I was so excited about but she has now hit the 300g so I am stoked. Leanne, hope things work out...this time. It is a bit odd what has happened and it must be really hard on you too. Maybe she is straining a little when toileting????? other than that I have no clue. Does the vet have any ideas??
  21. OMG, I would have thought that it would have been all but healed too, poor Scarlet I've only had 1 girl that the stitches burst cause the vet wasn't ''up to speed'' with the fact that bullies are a little bit different and really need some heavy duty sewing cause they just don't take alot of notice of the fact they have had surgery..... since then they have been all fine which is probably a good thing as if that happened to me I would have turned a little on the green side I think...
  22. The whelping fairy was pretty busy earlier in the week Wed/Thur, so maybe she had a few days off. Hasn't she heard of overtime??? I'm with you Jess, all turned out well in the end... Ozstar......your babies are just gorgeous, and they are sooooooo big, Scarlet is doing a wonderful job... Cowanbree.....all the best for your impending arrivals & of course Congrats. Well, Indy has settled into the role of MUM fantastically, toileting them with precision and just loves 'em. The wee little girl is back with them all and going great, she has put on 30g in the last 24hours. All the others have increased as well and they never mutter a sound, they are all very contented babies (even in this heat). Will try and get some photos, they will have to be group pics as Indy doesn't leave their side for very long which makes individual shots impossible.
  23. She was a little ''quiet'', but it was hot yesterday but kept an eye on her and I am glad I did. I have, atm, got her on her own and am feeding her myself, just till she gets a little stronger. She had fed well overnight but because she is so much smaller, I think she expels more energy than the others that are quite a bit bigger, and at least I know what she is actually getting, and no need to exhaust herself to get it. When she picks up, will give her back to mum. In the bullies, apparently, much more common in winter, and it tends to co-inside with getting a little chill and more often than not it is usually the smaller ones. They bounce back and there doesn't seem to be repeat occorunces once they are a few weeks old.
  24. Kelpiesrule, doesn't matter quality of pics, its easy to see they are gorgeous fat babies..... Glad to hear Scarlet is on the mend Leanne. Had a bit of a heart starter yesterday arvo, my smallest one went blue & stiff right in front of me, I nearly $h!t... She's ok now, gave her a good vigorous rubbing and got her breathing again, and gave her a little bit on honey, bit of a ''sugar hit''. Rang long time breeder & close friend and told her about what had happened, she was saying that in the past breeders have been known to loose complete litters and what happened was that its like her sugar levels took a dive and to give her a little bit of honey, which I had already done thankgod!!!!. She is back to feeding well again but I am keeping an extremely close eye on her.. Seems in the past when this has happened to others, it has been just put down to fading puppy syndrome. Kind of glad that I am an overbaring mummy cause I am constantly checking every hour (now every 1/2 hour).
