  1. Well, I just weighed my crew, (still haven't figured out why I didn't do this yesterday......blonde moment???) 4 are between 320 & 330g 2 are 400/420 and the bossiest one is a wee little girl of 240g (but at the rate she is going, she will catch up in no time but keeping an extra eye on her) Indy has realised that she now knows what to do and is toileting them herself (and making up for lost time much to their disgust..lol) they have all gained since coming home yesterday, it is easy to see and she has settled into the mummy role verrrrry well. Partipaws, so glad to hear all is well with Gucci, and she sounds like a perfect mummy....
  2. If mum is producing alot of milk, and she is a little bit of a piggy, maybe she is ''overfull'' ???? Just a thought... Thanks The Ark, it was a bit of a bitter/sweet day yesterday that's for sure... I have always weighed them at birth, but this time round I haven't.....a bit naughty of me, but they haven't hardly made a sound and all have nice rounded bellies, so must be getting enough?? Will weigh them as of today and at least then at the weekly weigh ins, I can see the proof that they are happy & gaining.. Partipaws.....how is your girl this morning, hope she is feeling better after her rough day yesterday...
  3. OOOH what a nightmare, you would nearly be ready to pull your hair out.... The biggest problem??(not really a problem) is that Indy won't toilet them, but apart from that we had a very pleasant first night, Indy has been out for a toilet break this morning and has had breaky, but the best part was when she was nearly breaking her neck to get back in with her babies, so was really pleased that she kinda likes 'em.. Hope things get a little better for you Ozstar, but poor Scarlet, she hasn't had the greatest of first time experiences has she, but wow what gorgeous babies she has given you..
  4. Shellbyville, relaxed isn't the word, she really is in her element and has not moved since she went in there. I was worried as she is a first time mum, how she would get on, but I am pleased to say she is almost smiling. She isn't up to speed with the toileting as yet but I don't have a problem with doing that. Sleep, ha ha yeah that is going to be a novelty for awhile but I love babies and really don't mind at all, at least I know I am not the only one going without.. Good luck to those who are still expecting, hope things go a little more smoothly for you (partipaws and I missed out of the whelping fairy :D
  5. look at those bellies, they are nearly touching the floor :D Hope all goes well with your girls,
  6. That's fantastic that she is now home, and with her 3 little men... Those colours sound very nice, can't wait to see the pics. I can understand the ''groggy'', Indy still hasn't moved but then again she does look quite comfortable :D
  7. just a couple of quick snaps....was planning on changing the bedding first but Indy was fast asleep..
  8. Thanks Shellbyville Partipaws, oh I am sorry to hear your girl is not doing so well, hopefully she will be right to come home soon, she couldn't be in a better place but still not the same as having her home.
  9. Oh bloody hell Partipaws, we have been through hell and back with these girls of ours. At least the outcome for both has been healthy babies and healthy mummies.. My day started so verrry sad with the passing of my foal this morning, but Indy has given me a bit of a pick-me-up with the arrival of her babies, and she is just so proud of them all which is a blessing... Photos will eventually be taken, not sure if it will be tonight or tomorrow, but will get some up.. CONGRATS again Jess,
  10. what lovely fat ' n' happy babies Leanne, just gorgeous... NEWS!!!!! Indy is the proud mummy of 5 girls (3 white & 2 coloured) and 2 boys (1white & 1 coloured) C-section done this morning, she was dialated but decided she wasn't going to push come hell or high water Mum and babies are all doing really well & will try and get a pic later.. Partipaws....how is your girl doin????
  11. My thinking is that there are too many in there???? We'll see what the vet says, and go from there....will let you know how we get on.
  12. looks like we might be going for a visit to the vet, still no change Partipaws, hope all is well with you
  13. OOOh naughty Scarlet. Well the girl is still making alot of noise with her panting etc but that's about it, if there is no action during the night, looks like she is gonna be up for a vet visit, hopefully she will kick into gear and we won't need it. A long night ahead for me.... Good luck Jess
  14. Congrats Rascal, another nice even split between the sexes...... Pics are gorgeous Partipaws, yes going to be a long night here, stocked up on coffee now just waiting for things to reallllly kick into gear, she is still huffing & puffing but bubbies have moved right back now, so we will see how we go.. All the best for your night and hope things go well for you and your girl..
  15. We have some action here, a couple of hours of alot of huffing & puffing/panting , and she is quite uncomfortable. We will see what the night brings..
  16. That's great Leanne, they are obviously happy bubbies, and what a good mummy Scarlet must be. Sleep....hmmmm I have heard of that, thought it was a myth I am running on empty but all is good while I just don't stop for long....foal is pretty crook, have exhausted all veterinary options, now its up to him but I still have to deliver all his electrolytes/yoghurt etc as well as milk mum (when he's not up) and feed him throughout the night, and as needed during the day. There is absolutely nothing else that we can do other than just keep doing what we are doing and hope he is a fighter... Thanks,
  17. you could try a little bit of natural yoghurt (natural set with acidopholis) as this will restore the good bacteria in her belly and should clear up the ''runs'' pretty quick, and of course its all natural...
  18. Congrats Kelpiesrule, more choc babies, lovely...... Indy is still keeping her legs firmly closed, so nothing happening here....propably good that she keeps them as long as possible at the moment, Murphy's Law has intervened and at the present time, I am nursing a really sick foal pretty much around the clock so I am getting spread a little thin...
  19. That is really good, when you blow it up they are easily seen...
  20. Not exactly what you expected I'm sure but at least they are all safe and mum is good too. Congrats on your 5 sweeties, those pics are gorgeous... OMG, I didn't realise that they could have that many, she must be almost bursting at the seems. Good luck and hope all goes smoothly for you and the mum to be. MissMonaro, I do hope things get a little better for your crew, Monday is fast approaching for us, hopefully all will be fine, I have started to worry a tad as her belly is just sooooooo tight I hope she can actually go into labour....
  21. So far seems everyone is getting a pretty even split with the boys/girls, hope that happens for mine. Congrats Shellbyville, on the safe arrival of your babies, and to the mumma on a job well done.. Look forward to seeing pics..
  22. That's fantastic news, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!
  23. MissMonaro......congrats on your new bubbies Shellbyville.......all the best for a "no-problems" whelping for your girl Ozstar.......Give scarlett's belly a rub from me, hope all goes well Now I am starting to get a little anxious, all these babies are coming a few days early......been watching my girl like a hawke just in case she decides to follow the trend.... Best wishes all, and here's hoping the whelping fairy makes the rounds.. Look forward to seeing pics of all the new babies..
  24. :D only 4, are they sure they didn't miss any???? hope everything goes well, especially if they are big bubbas..
