  1. a coated pup is mine in a couple of years :( I want to make it to an agility trial soon, my friend wants to come out and watch too.

whats the deal with bringing a visiting dog for some socialisation? Her little miss needs to get out a bit and meet some new dogs

she is keen to do agility when pup is older as well

  2. My friend just got an 8 week old female BC x Kelpie and trying to think of names, She is mostly black with a bit of white on her chest, chin and paws. Two we are looking at are Quinn and Lexi but any suggestions that arent really generic names would be greatly appreciated, maybe something that can be shortened.

  3. I have gone through a lot of heart ache because of the fact we made the choice to not go with a registered breeder and were impatient, I phoned every breeder on the Dogs West listing for ACDs and none had what we were looking for. But all were MORE than helpful, alot of them are in WA but not actually in Perth, they tend to be up north where their dogs are actually put to work. The temperment of an ACD is crucial and some have had a few problems. There is a lady currently showing two reds in Perth, maybe if you head to show and have a look at the dogs she has and ask her questions. I did not go to a BYB because of the breeders, I found they were all more than helpful one even offering to bring their red pups to perth for us to see. But I was impatient, don't get me wrong I do not regret getting my girl because she is amazing and has taught me so much. But if I could go back and get a dog without her problems, I would. It would have saved us alot. I have had some other breeders from around Australia recommended to me, because I do want another ACD one day but will be VERY careful where it is from. Oh and if the breeder you were asked to put the deposit on a pup is the one I think of, steer away from them.

  4. We brought a new dog into the family and she caused alot of damage and stress to the existing dog in the family but i would NEVER EVER think of rehoming her. It takes alot of management, time and training to make sure my two dogs can live in the same household (not even same yard or ever together) It is my responsibility to make sure both my dogs are happy and healthy even if that means they cannot be with eachother. I understand that Chance may not have been compatible with Mason, but anything can be done with work (I have a dog aggressive 20kg dog living with a 6kg blind dog)

  5. Rach is still very interested  but it won't be a pup from any litter soon Ahaha which sucks  when pups are around I will be trekking it down to bunbury I hope you know that WX Ahaha I need to get my dam license. I miss you and the monkeys Jacqi! But work and looking for a new job and trying to figure out what I'm doing with my life is hectic Ahaha we have to have a meet soon Budd needs a good play and I don't trust many dogs with him at the moment, hes had another dog have a go at him, my poor guy doesn't deserve all the hate he seems to get from other dogs. Ive become pretty protective of him since maiz attacked him
