  1. I have no reason to answer or justify anything. I did nothing wrong, so make up stories all u like.
  2. So if u all know about mum, do enlighten me as to what her breed is cos i can tell u it's not a dutch but u all must be right.
  3. no its not - I have it in black and white in front of me. Along with other interesting things from Kristina. I dont make things up. If you have evidence that Kristina is selling more puppies to pet shops or breeding for this purpose, feel free to post it. If not, I'm afraid I'm going to have assume it is speculation and ignore it Glad to see at least one person in here with a brain
  4. uh huh. Along with the other litter they plan to take to the pet stores? Do tell, which litter? More stories hey?
  5. Puppy farmers. I cannot imagine any responsible ethical breeder selling their babies to a pet store. Yup...I know a few breeder's, all registered, and reputable. None of them would even consider selling to a pet store. Guess that's the difference between an ethical breeder and some one with no ethics who is only interested in the money Oh ye, the money, stupid. U'd make a hell of a lot more by selling private.
  6. Y are they not in working homes?? Cos they're not suitable for it!!!! Just cos a dog is a certain breed doesn't mean every pup in the litter will suit the job they were bred for.
  7. Thanks for this heads up. Are there other breeds that would be described as 'high drive hard working dogs'? Isn't that why the police & military use German & Belgian Shepherds so extensively? So wouldn't there be other dogs that shouldn't be sold to unsuspecting, inexperienced families??? The man who does our gardening bought a German Shepherd from a pet store. Seems to add up to one of the main reasons why all breeds of dogs should be bought directly from registered breeders who know the attributes and needs well. The welfare of these puppies at the centre of this furore should take one pride of place. I don't agree with the statement that they would have been better off put to sleep. Steps should be taken to ensure they're homed appropriately...as should be the case for other dogs of this type. German & Belgian Shepherds. I think I read, on the other thread, that those trying to sort things had also offered to take them in & do so. If so, that's decent, sensible and humane. Should the puppies finish up being PTS as a result of this intervention, it'd be a disgrace. Exactly, tons of HIGH prey drive dogs are sold not only by pet shops but by ppl with no idea what they're breeding. Why does everyone label these pups as angerous?? Who says they're not suitable as pets?? I guess u're all experts now, must have owned heaps of the years, NOT!!!! I know who bred the pups and i know for a fact that none are going out of shops as a result of all this crap, if anything it will raise their price, so keep going, shops should be happy. The shops are making sure they go to right homes, not all shops are dumb and careless. Get ur facts straight before u start shit. But then again forums are full of ppl with nothing better to do then butt into other ppls business and try to start problems
  8. Real nice, and i'm NOT the one who bred the litter and all of u morons are playing assuming games. Where is the working line in these pups? Does anyone here know who the parents of these pups are?? I doubt it, maybe if u did then u'd all shut up. cleaning up the mess?? what mess?? Shelly - ure an idiot. PROFIT?? I can see how one can make a huge profit by selling to a shop. Get ur facts straight. As for the shops the pups are in, they are doing the right thing by them from what i've heard. Brad, i'm not getting anyone to make calls on my behalf, u're all trying to get a picture and u have no idea what's going on, so get ur facts straigh, the pups are not mine and they're not from working lines.
  9. Julie, what exactly is ur goal here? Giving the dutch a bad reputation, saying they're a dangerous breed will only harm the breed not help it. Pretty stupid IMO Yes, bring attention to them, then watch the rspca get on it and ban them. Is that what u're trying to do? Do you want these pups put down too? U have too much time on ur hands, go do something constructive
  10. My chihuahua helping out toilet them. Having probs uploading some, so we'll see if i can get more up
  11. My babies, almost 5wks old and soo soo very cute. They're German shepherd x Dutch shep
  12. That's what i was thinking Fifi. I'll have to get some, maybe even put mum on it. I wasn't supplementing at all, just making sure all were getting enough food. They're not loosing or holding, they're all gaining so i didn't think there was a need for help. I'll go see my vet and get some stuff.
  13. Thanks for replies. Hannah why did you have to do all the work? Wasn't mum ok? Ashanali, how did the litter of 11 go? Did you have to help out or did mum do it all? I'm worried about mine, their poo isn't consistent with all of them, some have slight green tint to them. Their mum doesnt' want to stay with them all the time either. She never did their toilets properly either, we've had to help out. I'm just glad i took the wk off and that she had them early so i was able to help for their whole first wk. I'll be very annoyed if i miss something and loose them.
  14. I currently have a litter of 11 pups, we lost 2. They're just over a wk old and soooo darn cute. I've asked a few breeders about having big litters and what's best to do to make sure everyone is happy and no pups lacking. I also had a quick look over Vic dog reg and noticed that there's not many big litters, at least not registered. A friend said that maybe it's not that the litter size is getting smaller over time but that maybe the breeders are culling due to not being able to find enough homes. So im wondering, with breeders of big breeds, do you cull? Know anyone that does? Whats your average litter size? I'm used to my chi's and litters that are never more then 6, so to have 13 pop out was a shock. It worries me too, they sook a lot more then any other pups i've had, all gaining and growing, seem ok, just sooks.
  15. 6 are brindle and i'm guessing the other 6 will be sable. The mum is from the first litter of dutchies born in aust. Dad is a sable shep.
  16. I have a litter of dutch x shep pups. They were born early sat morning. Had 13 but one got squashed, so now 6 each. Sooooo cute.
  17. I know it all sounds terrible, but i'm sure there's worse. He is an older guy, lives alone, works, he is also a veteran. He felt bad that he missjudged it and had her chained up. She's normally loose and was loose after that and before. She was put in a whelping box and was comfy. It happened during later afternoon and morning. We all have our way of looking after our bitch, some will take time off work, like me, and some can't. I'm sure he was doing best possible. Anyway, i won't give him another mating.
  18. NEVER reply to these emails, any type, blank especially. If you reply a lot of them then can send virus or other crap. Best is to delete and forget. The key words to look out of in emails is them talking about condition of the 'pet' and sending an agent. See that, and just delete. But don't reply!! Plus if you reply they know you use that email and can bug you all the more. DELETE DELETE DELETE
  19. Not a chi, she's a shepherd. I asked him what he meant by GONE, and he meant he can't find the pups. Which is strange. Doubt mum would eat them, if she moved them surely she'd be there with them. Unless another dog moved them??? Not sure if his other girl was allowed near them, she was the grandma. It's all so sad
  20. I'm guessing he chained her so he knew where she was incase she went into labour and decided to hide them somewhere. Just a guess. He's got land, not sure how much tho. For me personally, that's the worst he could have done. Should have had her inside, laundry even, and i bet when pups got cold he didn't warm them up but relied on mum to do it, in which case i'd say they stayed cold. So i'll be going with NO if he does ask again. Such a waste of really nice pups.
  21. I've got those. When they start talking about condition of the animal, etc, i know it's def spam. Delete and block basically. They're one of those that tell u they'll give you a cheque for $1000 when the dog is only $500 and ask you give them the $500 change before they clear ur cheque, of course, the idiot gives money and gets nothing back. So ye, delete and move on....
  22. Only had a verbal contract, she fell pregy that was it. My side done. So far he's only told me the pups are no more, his words were they're gone, so i'm assuming that means dead rather then no bodies in sight. He said he was very sad, etc. Didn't say about another mating, but i want to prepare if it comes up
