  1. ok so my question

my pup had surgery on the weekend. now can i send in a claim form now for the surgery bill? and then another form for the 6 weekly checkups that are to follow?

or do i have to send in a form for everything all at once at the end of the 6 weeks?

who has claimed, whats your experience. how do i do it?

    any help appreciated

  2. gosh i understand how you could cry over him even now to talk about him. i know that love. i think most of us dolers do.

so sorry the loss of your sweet loving companion. he was meant to be yours till the end and he is with you even now, :) you will see him again

    RIP gentle giant :grouphug:

  3. Hi

just wondering if anyone has had any experience with Vet Specialist Services at springwood right near the world for pets superstore.

was your experience good/bad and why please?

my baby is having surgery there on saturday im just wanting to make sure im doing the right thing for her

  4. im using the interceptor spectrum, which does heartworm and worms. however i have been told it is missing a vital worm...cant remember which one. i think the sentinel spectrum (the next one up from the interceptor) covers fleas, i'll have to check and see if it does this worm the other is missing. but its like double the price

as i have mine on advantix i wasnt to fussed on paying extra for the flea treatment.

im interested to see what others are using also. unless the interceptor is fine then i'll stay on that

theres so many out there, it does my head in

also do not use a wormer that is made by fido's i cant remember the name of the wormer but puppies have died on it

  5. ok thanx rebanne and bedazzled.

yes she is walking fine on it now. i was just worried that sticking out it might be more likely to get caught on things now.

rebanne so your greyhound still used to hoon/run around as normal after healing from the cut ligament?

well the appy is today i'll see what they say and let u know

  6. thanx to you idea mason

i have organised to get a referral to the veterinary specialist services right near home. she is covered by her health insurance. i'll just have to find the money to pay the specialist as unfortunatly they dont let the insurance company pay them direct.

they have an orthopedic specilist on staff

 im so happy im at least giving my girl the best shot. if they come back with no help more than what the other 2 vets said then at least i know i have tried everything for her :)

after this jumabaar i might look into a physio for her thanx for the idea

just took my dogs to nudgee beach the other day. my young girl has cut her toe and her ligament so will now permanently have a toe that sits funny :( i hope she didnt develop a fear for the water, she loves to lie in it. havent got any pics of her lieing in it though

  8. Just wanting to find out if anyone has any experience with a torn ligament in a dogs toe

my pup stepped on something sharp at the beach on sunday and now her toe is sitting straight out instead of up as they do normally.

now both vets basically said there is nothing we can do. just rest her let her heal and the toe will not hurt/affect her in any way. but will remain straight out.

one vet said she would attempt surgery on the toe to reattach the ligament but that she really didnt know if it was even possible. the other vet said he has never done one, its not common and he didnt think the risks made it worth it.

just wondering if anyone has any experience with this problem  by leave it alone are we doing the right thing?

  9. sorry i cant help with this

i just wanted to say that now you have rewarded the behaviour ie letting her out for barking she will continue to do it.

i really have no idea why she doesnt want to be in there. maybe you trained her to bark to be let out by accident and she has just escalated to bark heaps until she gets what she wants
