  1. Lloyd and Seven had their op Friday of the week before last, so 10 days ago approx, and they were absolutely fine. They were very sleepy in the evening of Friday when we brought them home, then Saturday they were moving around a bit gingerly, but by Sunday they were back to their feral selves They didn't go near their own (or each others) stitches at all which was surprising, so no need for a collar at out house. They've been kept on-lead on all their walks, until yesterday. Good luck, i'm sure he'll be fine
  2. me too what a great group! the most worthwhile i have joined i think.
  3. hi guys, thanks for your advice. i've started putting them in time out when they are fighting, outside but where we can see them, and what do you know? they stop fighting. if one is being the instigator and not backing down, i just put him out. they are both getting desexed on friday too. i will wait til they have healed and are back to 'normal' before getting a consultant in, but i think i will definately be needing one to learn how i can be the leader of my bratty little pack
  4. well I just checked out your website and I have sent you an email to your underdog email i'm at docklands. thanks so much for your advice too.
  5. they get walked morning and afternoon for about 30 mins each time. Not much training unfortunately and to be honest they are always together.... do you think I should walk them separately as a start? i'll definately look into the behaviourist, thanks for that.
  6. Hi there, I have two male pug little mates that are 7 months old. i wasnt warned about getting litter mates until after I had actually got them. My breeder didnt mention anything about the possibility of fighting, and I honestly didnt think it would be a problem. Well, probably for the last two weeks, they have been fighting horribly. It used to be just play fighting, and very very occasionally one would get a little agro, and it would be over in a matter of seconds. This last two weeks though, they have been terrible. Its really nasty, high pitched screeching, and they bite each other and get up on their hind legs and fight from there too. They dont seem to hurt each other, just a few little nicks, but its happening more and more frequently and its just awful. It can go on for a full minute if we leave them to sort it out themselves, and then it will start again 5 mins later. And again. Over toys, or over nothing at all seemingly. Nothing we do seems to stop them either. I have tried ignoring them, spraying them with water, dragging them apart and putting the perpertrator outside, yelling, smacking, everything. It's like they cant even hear me. One is more dominant, but the other one sometimes has his turn, so i'm guessing they're trying to figure out whose boss. They are both getting castrated next week, and I am hoping that might alleviate some of the problems, but i am aware it might not. I would never consider rehoming one of them, I am just after some advice from anyone who has dealt with this before. Thanks
  7. my two sleep under our bed on an old futon mattress which they have now claimed as theirs!! so we had to get a new one for visitors i love having them in with us, except for when we get woken at 4am by their snoring!
  8. My two boys are almost 6 months old, and I witnessed Lloyd cocking his leg for the first time a few days ago on our morning walk! Seven still squats though. And I haven't noticed Lloyd do it again. They're getting desexed soon so hopefully that will nip it in the bud
  9. Good suggestion - OH had BB (for BB King) or Jed (from Beverly Hillbillies theme song) He likes the Blues - so - any other ideas I can throw at him? Elwood! (from the Blues Brothers movie)
  10. I was just wondering, for those that do not use flea treatment, do you still use heart worm medication etc? I am yet to flea my 5 month old puppies also, and have never noticed a flea on them, so I would be happy to skip the flea-ing process.
  11. I think so it's the only way I can get photo's of them, when they are sleeping! and the flash always wakes them. whoops :D
  12. oh i am sorry! did i wake you up! how rude of me.... :D
  13. Hi guys, here's an update on the sleeping situation with Lloyd & Seven. Since putting up my post and receiving all of your helpful advice, my OH and I have taken the boys for a walk/play every night close to bedtime to tire them out, plus we've been doing some basic obedience as well. And i have to say it's going really well! we had a whimper last night at 4am, ignored it, and that was it! Same thing the night before. So thanks again for all of your suggestions, they've been so helpful and we'll keep up the good work keeping our puppies stimulated, happy AND obedient
  14. hmm i think thats a good idea from puggy puggy and smitty regarding crating / pen during the night. currently they have access to the whole apartment at night and day time, and this may be confusing them in regards to bedtime. we need some more boundaries i think! thanks very much
  15. My pleasure - they look like lovely pups. If they don't have any interactive toys like kongs, these might also help to keep them busy. oh they have a million toys, including kongs, but my shoes seem to be way more interesting and stimulating! funny that thanks again.
