  1. Our beautiful, loving, incorrigible Oscar crossed the bridge yesterday at 8:30am. He was loved and hugged and spoilt in his last days but was beginning to suffer from the effect of his spreading disease. We decided we would not let him suffer and the pain meds were not holding him any longer. He died with dignity in our arms. He was a Labrador loved by many, the destroyer of balls, shedder of fur, and champion licker. Run free beautiful boy xxxxx
  2. There are some seriously gorgous and cute dogs in here!! Great photos too
  3. Who says I'm dumb Mum?? I wiped my feet on the mat My serious, pose for the camera tilt....
  4. Hi! oscar and I would like to come too if we may, we are northsiders too. I saw someone mention Sweeney Reserve - went for a walk there last week and it has been completely 'renovated' by the flooding of the Pine River and was a complete mess. The fenced dog park was completely gone and most of the trees had been ripped out and carried away. There were dead fish on the bikeway but it was nothing compared to the devestation of Wiley Park - all gone! The idea of having it at a 'venue' sounds great - I would not mind paying ;)
  5. The photos are making me laugh out loud ;) Here are some of Oscar: Hmmmmm tummy rubs....I loooooove tummy rubs.... I am only too eager to please...what would you like me to do now?? Snowing? Ris it???
  6. Nothing like some garden renos to cheer you up
  7. Hi everyone..Oscar is much much better this morning. His eyes are almost normal - just look a bit red around the edges still, but the swelling has gone down and the diarrhoea has stopped :D Yes they do like to scare us and I wish they wouldn't!!
  8. Oscar is much better thank goodness. The swelling has alsmost gone down, he still has diarrhoea, but he is much more like himself. ;)
  9. Taken 3 hours after cortisone and antihistamine injections.
  10. We have a bit of bush and a creek across the road. I have done a huge critter hunt of the house since we got back from the vets - can't find anything. Oscar is sound asleep. Vet said it would take about 2 days for the swelling to go down. Hope his swelling goes down real quick the poor little thing, must be uncomfy ! He looks like he has been punched in both eyes and he has a fat face.

  12. Back from vets - they think he has been bitten by something. We went through everything else - no change in diet, no new plants, no new cleaning products or sprays etc - came up with nothing. He has had antihistamine and cortisol injections and is now asleep. He looks terrible. I have to take him back if he vomits again or gets worse. Good new - his chest is clear so the kennel cough he came home with last week is better. That's two Monday mornings in a row we have been to the vet - the Vet asked if I had a crush on him
  13. I think it must be he has now started scratching himself madly and whimpering... Going now will let you know what it is later.
