  1. Thanks Chloe08, I will have a look on facebook for this group. I already knew that an MRI is the only way to confirm a diagnosis and I know where I need to go to get one done. I also know what treatments are available, What I wanted is to discuss experiences with someone that has had a dog with this awful disease.
  2. Chloe08, do you know the name of the group?
  3. I did but the person who replied to me said they couldn't offer any advice to me and to see my the specialist vet for diagnosis. They obviously weren't interested in talking to me.
  4. Is there anyone on the forum that has had experience with a dog that has/had syringomyelia? I'm concerned that one of my dogs may have it. The vet thinks it's plausible but I would like to discuss this disease with someone experienced so I have more information before I consider what I need to do next. Any help/info would be appreciated.
  5. Secret it is then. :D You really had me worried for a while!
  6. Yay DDD, glad to see you remember her proper name
  7. Clever girl, she knows what her name should be lol!!!
  8. You know what my thoughts are
  9. What a cutie!!! Reminds me of the French bulldog that used to run around with the flower pot on his head
  10. I agree T, but she is just soooooo adorable, I am very very VERY sorely tempted with this little girl................. but I don't need another dog.......................... or do I???????????????
  11. I have to say that I've spent a wonderful five hours today getting lots and lots of puppy cuddles, kisses, tail wags, twitchy dreams and playtime. Neko's babies are just the cutest little angels ever! I can't wait to see them again on Wednesday as they are growing and developing so quickly now. Is everyone jealous yet
  12. I'm in Murrindindi shire and I had to fill in the application for an extra dog. I also had to supply letters from neighbours stating they didn't object to an extra dog. The council then said they needed to check the property. I never saw them come out to inspect the residence but they sent me a letter stating they had checked it and that all was good and I was a responsible owner so allowed the application to go through. No charge for the application/approval and I only have to pay the yearly registration fees. ETA I've just rung the council and checked my info. Residential areas can have two dogs and two cats without a permit. As stated above, a permit is required for more than two of each animals, with a letter from neighbours stating they have no objections but there is no fee. Rural residences can have six dogs and six cats without a permit.
  13. I put blankets inside the crate and also a couple of thick blankets over my crate, completely covering it. That helps to keep the dogs body heat in and they stay warmer, plus it's like their own little cave. I don't put water in, unless they're dehydrated they should be able to last the night without drinking. I also put jammies on the dog/s, so I don't use a snugglesafe for heating. Maybe after people reply here I may get one myself. I use the crate for my foster dogs, my own dogs sleep in bed with me!
  14. THANKS FOR INVITING ME HAZYWAL! I, along with all my mob, had a greyt time. And the puppers have just enjoyed some of their cheese biscuits and tuna hearts for lunch you gave them and they went down a treat! Too much excitement. Whose gorgeous link bracelet is that featured? Yes DD, it's my bracelet, I didn't even notice it!!
  15. You may find it easier, as I do, to get the annual heartworm injection for your dog/s. I can sometimes be forgetful with taking medications so at least I know that all the dogs are covered for a full 12 months protection and I don't need to worry. And the vet sends you a reminder when it's due again. I'm sure it will all be fine for your girl, positive thoughts sent for her. :)
  16. Bloody hell, it's gorgeous. I'd love you to get one for me please HazyWal. Message me how to send you the money so you have it ready for next time.
  17. gapvic, if someone can get them and bring them down this way, are you interested in one each?
  18. Get a cat that likes hunting. Rats and/or mice will soon be gone.
  19. She is such a cutie pie!!! Happy Birthday Odie, enjoy yourself to the max!!
  20. Aren't they gorgeous DD!!! If I didn't have iggies, I could be tempted with some of those beauties. They're a little bit like my MinPin x Chi, Peanut.
