  1. Another vote for the dremel here, makes life so much easier and I havent made one black nail bleed yet :D At first my guys were a bit concerned but now they lay in my lap as soon as I sit on the ground with the dremel. As for the attatchment i use the round sanding band its like a ring of sandpaper
  2. I want to get a pocket one , I have a handy, a junior I think (bought them off ebay)
  3. Oh Jodie I am so pleased things are looking up. Give him a big cuddle from me. Jacq
  4. I feed pedigree performance puppy to all my dogs, adults included. They dont get just dry though they get meat, pasta ect added as well.
  5. You can all roll your eyes at me if you like, I was simply calling it like I see it. I know several groomers who WILL NOT call them anything but Lab cross poodles. Until they are recognised by the ANKC (if that happens) or someone can show documented proof re stud books and prober pedigrees this is what they are. Sorry for the OT canberra labradoodle, I highly reccomend Dogworld they are great and prices really good.
  6. Go to Dogworld at Hume, Storm and Nicole are lovely people, but your dog is a lab cross poodle.
  7. I have heard nothing but excellent things re Gary and if I need a chiropractor will be driving to Sydney to see him.
  8. Jodie darl not much any of us can say, just remember I am here if you need a shoulder and a coffee or a few wines/whines. Jacq
  9. Good post Kit Kat I am too scared to name the food I feed my guys in conjunction with their raw stuff incase I am percieved as a bad owner cause I dont spend over $100 for 15kg, I spend nearly $50 for 17
  10. Well I wish I had the time to show you the other night my 2 puppies I have here, Mum was fed Bonnie puppy as well as a variety of minces, vegies, pasta, rice etc, whelped 10 healthy large puppies, puppies raised on Bonnie puppy, I have recently changed foods but I am not saying what it is because I dont want other people to bag it, I feed what my dogs do best on, they never get just plain dry food always get things added. I have also seen dogs raised on el cheapo homebrand kibble and have beautiful glossy coats, healthy in every way shape or form. Ok if I wanted to feed just dry I may look at the more premium foods, but with 3 kids, 4 dogs I cant afford to spend $100 on a bag of kibble when I feed my guys assorted other excellent ingredients Edited to highlight the main part I wanted to quote
  11. As far as I am concerned the best dry food is the food your dog does best on, if thats supercoat, inova, pro plan, or woolworths homebrand, (no I dont feed the woolies stuff) try a variety till you find the one that works for you and your dog
  12. I am glad it is all sorted now, I have a bitch here who a couple of months ago displayed the same symptoms turned out to be a red back spider bite.
  13. So sorry to hear about Pip Corine, fly high little Pip.
  14. Oh Kit Kat I am so sorry that the time came for you to make this very hard choice, my thoughts are with you. As the others have said remember the good times and he will be awaiting you at the bridge. Jacq RIP Harm
  15. I use their herbal whitening shampoo, cant praise it enough, love the stuff. I also use their no rinse shampoo for quick tidy ups of feet once we get to the show and it is brilliant. I have recently tried theri cover up cream and it is amazing. Love Plush Puppy and the plush puppy staff are brilliant, I needed more of the whitening shampoo, couldnt get any in Canberra, needed it despretly, rang Plush puppy and they sent it over night from Brissie.
  16. Yes Jen, a good time but oh so short, I am sure Blue and Tiara are having a wonderful time at the bridge together. I feel a bit silly as every time I look at a piccie of him, or this thread and I think of the bouncy happy dog who was so very happy to meet anyone who looked like they were there to see him I satrt to cry and he wasnt even my dog, but he held a very special place in my heart. It certainly is a very sad time in the collie fraternity Belinda, lets hope we dont lose any more for a very long time.
  17. Mooper yes he was only 7, sadly Blue developed a very aggressive cancer and they did all they could but sadly modern medice wasnt enough and it was time to let him have his wings. Thanks guys for all your kind words he really was one in a million.
  18. Although "Blue" wasnt my dog he has held a very special place in my heart, he was the first smoothie I ever laid my eyes on and have loved the breed for many years before owning them. I was very lucky earlier this year to be able to use this dog and he has produced for me some wonderful puppies. Rest in peace beautiful boy, you are now pain free and comfortable, never forget how much you were loved by all. Sympathies to his wonderful owners Joanne and Shirley Stoney who went to the effort to bring this stunning boy into the country many years ago. Blue will be remembered in his children every time they enter the ring: Eridor Sway Me Smooth Eridor On The Darkside Eridor Im Mr Blue Eridor Out Ovth Blue And in Rosie Posie pocket Pup when she herds Eridor China Roses. Take your angel wings and fly dear boy 09/10/1998 - 20/12/2005 :p :p
  19. Hi guys I am the editor for the collie club of NSW newsletter and am wanting to change a few things so thought I would start a recipe page. Does anyone have any recipes they would be willing for me to print please :p Jacq
  20. She did Chezzyr and I am sure she is going to have a ball doing it, I am also thinking about seeing how Chelsea goes next time we have a begginers day. Jacq
  21. I dont even think my post was that bad, I have been the reciever of worse on threads. I also recieved multiple PMs about it, apparently cause I dont do herding with my dogs I shouldnt have an opinion, I guess spending the first 16 years of my life on a sheep farm doesnt count at all
