  1. PETA 'nuff said Thanks Oso :) I'd already found that one which is useful, but the one I'm after was written this year. I might pm the photographers....95% sure it was on one of their pages.
  2. This is quite tenuous, but within the last few months one of the Aussie dog photographers I follow on fb posted a link to a recent, well written article, about why buying a pure bred from a registered breeder would not result in a shelter dog dying.... Don't suppose anyone knows of the blog or has a link to it? Cheers :)
  3. She's 'progressed' from rolling in it, to eating sheep poop...... and then vomiting it up in the car - oh the smell!! The Crestie Crew drop some tunes - warning contains howling
  4. Lol, watch your back Arkey, those chooks look sinister! So true!
  5. Thanks Kristin, it's great isn't it :) Oh dear, I see showers are going to be a regular event now after walks for miss Pops
  6. Love this little guy! He reminds me of my Poppy with the same cheeky, full of life, attitude ????
  7. Poppy has been missing her beach runs, but we found a park yesterday that I think she is happy with  it also contained sheep poo which made her extra happy!
  8. Nawww they are so grown up now, just totally gorgeous! I'm a member of the WA iggy group and see so many iggy puppy pics that I'm hooked!
  9. Thanks Snook :) The first one just sums up little miss cheeky pants  The last ones of Louis are pretty much as they were shot, he was standing inside but in a ray of evening sun
  10. Thanks Roova :) That's just beautiful teekay - such delicate, pretty colours :) I don't know that bumble bee song, tell me more
  11. The sky looks like it is on fire! Cracking shot Canetoad. Thanks guys, the telephoto really accentuates the sun, these were over the other side of the valley from where we are staying. The colours are pretty much as captured, it was such a gorgeous evening :)
  12. I got my macro lens out for some pics in the garden, not my finest macros as it was windy and these guys didn't sit still for a second, but thought I'd pop them up :) I'd forgotten how big bumble bees are, and how pretty the butterflies are back in the UK, we only got the cabbage white in Perth
  13. Cresties hit the UK! They have settled in well and have enjoyed getting some evening rays :) (I have a new tablet which I haven't calibrated yet, so pleased let me know if the colours are awful  )
  14. Some stunning images in this thread, fantastic light and colours! I don't usually do landscapes, but there have been some beautiful sunsets from the holiday cottage we are staying at back in the UK. And one from a while ago looking out from Cottesloe beach over to Rottnest Island about 20km away.
  15. Exciting! Look forward to seeing your shots and hope you have fun playing and learning :) Have a look at the Tampon 70-300 VC lens. I had it for a while and it was a cracking lens for the price. Not the fastest lens around but does come with stabilization and a 'motor'. http://www.tamron.com.au/di70-300_a005.html
  16. Oh shit Kirty, how awful! I'm so sorry and sending positive thoughts for Pudding and Toby, hang in there guys ????
  17. That's so weird, I didn't think anyone would have heard of it! I came across two of the books at the weekend too as we are packing to move, so funny! Ah good old Frank Muir, they don't make them like that any more :)
  18. Yes! When Louis was ill and need several pills a day, these did the trick perfectly. Cut a small piece off and the pill/capsule can just be pushed into it easily.
  19. She is just beautiful Super shots! and love the Woody photo bomb  Afghan pups always remind me of a book my grandparents gave me as a kid 'What-a-Mess". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/What-a-Mess
  20. Dogs by the Bay do a fantastic range of fabrics and collar styles, including martingale collars. https://www.etsy.com/au/shop/dogsbythebay?section_id=13000993&ref=shopsection_leftnav_1 Pops got these awesome zombie and sugar skulls ones. https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/221913109/zombies-dog-collar-martingale-buckle-or?ref=shop_home_active_2&ga_search_query=zombie https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/123734425/day-of-the-dead-dia-de-los-muertos-dog?ref=shop_home_active_2&ga_search_query=skulls Rozzie - they also do cat collars so pretty sure they would do teeny dog ones.
  21. Congratulations Jolie and Kirty!! Love the tiger stripes they have when new :) Looking forward to watching them grow ???? Hope you can get some sleep tonight!
  22. This pretty much sums it up... http://webs.dogs.net.au/bbcnsw/uploads/documents/Buyers_Beware_with_photos.pdf.pdf Unfortunately the latest breed to be hit with the blue 'fad'. I've also seen 'purple' ones being sold for $15k
  23. Moondog does frozen chunks - it's not the cheapest, but as far as tripe goes this is good sh*t man  https://guidetoorganics.com.au/listings/moondog-raw-food/ http://www.moondograwfood.com.au/#!blank/c1g0y eta - probably worth joining this group too if they are on facebook. https://www.facebook.com/groups/RAWfedPerthWA/
  24. Oh bless her, iggies just look so funny when they are pregnant! Can't wait to see what she has and hope all goes smoothly for you both :)
