  1. my greencheek conure used to play with my terrier x malt , but one day he bit her and she never played with him again . I have 2 now and they have free time every day , my 2 newer dogs are not left alone with them, but are in the house while they are out, it has taken a while to get to this point, at first of course they wanted to chase and prob eat them, but now they know they must not chase eat my birds lol , esp as Pico the one that used to play with Gizzi ,has no fear of dogs and stalks them lol

  2. I make all Gizzi food and treats and she hasn't had a attack for ages

chicken breast , veg and small amount rice [basmati as it is low gluten] put chicken veg in then rice later .that is all she gets for food

treats , tuna bake , tin tuna in springwater , egg, rice flower , baked very slow

any time I have tried her on any other type food she has an attack

she has fits , which is treated with meds, but not streiods as it upsets the pancreatitis

she gets skin rashes, but I prevent it by using aloveen shampoo and conditioner

this all works for me, some of it may work for you

  4. after the articles in sydney the police did then recieve reports, it is not the first port of call people make when their dog goes missing, was not until it became more known that people started to call the police and report missing dogs , they now say to keep your dogs secured and on leash, no I dont have a link, that was after calling them for an update . I had heard here that there were stickers being placed on gates , don't know if this is just hype or real, but never hurts to keep an eye out for something out of the ordinary .

  5. 2ue had a story on it, in Nelson there were 6 dogs stolen in one street , 20 in the area . tageting rural areas as less chance get caught and they type dog they after , kelpie's and prob any dog that fast and will put up a fight to blood their dog with .

a woman called in and said she had two youths try to steal her amstaff pup twice , and that said they had had dogs stolen over fences at dogs parks too

  6. there are some funny things in here

but there are also some gross stuff too :vomit:

I just thank the lord that my Gizzi who is 16 can still let me know when she needs to toilet , as I would hate to have to evict her permanently from my bed . I could not handle just letting her do it in my bed ewwwww , when she had a few fits she did lil nuggets , I wake when she starts fitting and get her out of bed into a to a towel before anything happens , as she often looses her bladder when she fits , tg for fast reactions

I do find a lot of toys in my bed , stuffed in in the morning while the others are waiting for me to wake up "here pressie f or you for when you wake up"" no bones they are not allowed in the house
