  1. Thank you very much really appreciate the feed back.

Pers I had so much fun today and thx to you I was able to share. :flower:

This isn't too far from home. Love driving along here. Didn't think we'd get the leaves today, last night we had strong winds and thought I'd be photographing the ground and bare trees, lol.

Once again thx, it does help the self esteem. :curtsey:

  2. Can you post an example so we can see where it went wrong and tell you the best settings for that subject. Water can be tricky because a lot of the pictures you see will be shot using a polariser and compensating for light. Sun out is generally the enemy of the photographer by the way, it creates too much contrast with the elements in the photo.

Slow internet just at present.........it's one of those days. Thx for you help though. :)

  3. I would load a photo, but having trouble with the slow slow interent now. When it rains it pours
    aahhhh :)

do you mean the card on which images are stored?

I have had mine for years :o

to post a photo.. using picasa ..just resize it to 600 or 800 , and about 80% quality ..loads much quicker/easier :)

I almost threw the laptop yesterday. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to move the blasted edited photos to a desktop folder. I looked and looked at what you messaged, but it won't do as it's told. I surely can't be that stupid.....well.............

  4. I'm most probably using the wrong terminolodgy............lol and doesn't surprize me or you.

Storage device is the word I think I should be using. Can't find it in the manual/guide book.

Mostly auto, and programed auto(which were experimental so kind of expected them to be dark).

The lighting was perfect, sun out, clear day. Light all around an open area.

I would load a photo, but having trouble with the slow slow interent now. When it rains it pours.

  5. Hi All

Have been out to one of my favourite waterfalls, taken over 400 photos. Come home downloaded and really disappointed in them.

They are grainy, the refections are over the top, just yuck. I've taken photo at this place before and did the same as last and not a problem.

I'm thinking, could my camera microchip be on the way out? How do you know when your microchip needs replacing?

Second question: I love those shots where everything in the large area photo is in focus. There is a bundle on my screensaver (Australian landscapes) where it's from a helicopter or skyscraper, I thought maybe slow shutter speed but that would give show the water or boats in perfect focus. How do they do this? Not that I'm planning on buzzing around in a helicopter anytime soon.

    Thx

    Sharon :D
