  1. VERY EXCITED AS THE GREAT NEW MATS ARE COMING....and we know Kylie will be inundated with orders once people see the quality, so EVERYONE who is thinking of getting a mat should definitely get on her website..the advertisement is here on DOL as well... PAWS 4 EFFECT - www.paws4effect.net.au AND her show suits are brilliant, and very reasonable prices..I have seen the same suits advertised for a much higher price, and they are literally the same suit from the same company. She stocks Le Suit, Suit Studio Evan Piccone and lots others (I know this first hand, not just because I own a few, but because I work for her at some shows... Paws 4 Effect will be at Durack on Saturday and Sunday, and the vendor's spot has moved slightly further up the road towards the club house!! Gorgeous mats and plenty of suits in stock!
  2. Yes, we have used them too as I have been able to first hand try out Kylie's one...the Paws 4 Effect ones are very good! I think it always comes down to working out value for money. We bought two of the cheaper ones, both of them are now after a couple of years of wear - ruined. Also they become quite dangerous when they start to come apart, sooner or later someone is going to actually be seriously hurt on a mat that has a hole in it and they get their foot stuck, and tripor fall into something. I would sooner pay a little more and get longer life out of it, than just get something cheaper and have to keep replacing it. The problem with most mats is the side binding coming away and that the eyelet holes (as with canvas and tarps) can pull out...the Paws 4 Effect ones have full binding on all sides and have the hoops on the sides too that are strong, AND the stitching is so strong it won't be coming apart...another big plus. People haven't mentioned either that they can be totally customized, which is dearer for just one, but works out to be quite economical for a couple of them...so you really can have your own colours and (correct me if I am wrong) your own name put on them, which could be awesome for Clubs for Prizes at Specialities or for people who set up under 2 or 3 portashades...just swanky as I reckon. Just my opinions... Nadia Attridge
  3. Hi List, Yes, entries are still open for the Caboolture Ag, on June 10th. I will definitely have to close them at COB on Friday, but up until then I am happy to take them. I will be at Fraser Coast show on Friday if people would like to give them to me then. A reminder too that Group 5, 7 and Gen Specials are being judged now by Fran Matthews (Qld); so if you haven't entered, please get your entries in as we have very small numbers in these groups and in a couple of other ones. Also, we are very lucky to have Mrs Joan Beech from Canada judging for us for Groups 3 & 4, so we would love to show her the depth and quality of our dogs in these two groups, so again we are asking for you to consider entering. Any enquiries, please just give me a call. ;) Thanks, Nadia Attridge
  4. Thanks to the people who called last night wanting to enter. YES we are still open until Friday 27th May...please enter.
  5. Hi DOLers, Caboolture Ag Show on Fridy June 10th has a change of judge. Mrs Jane Armatys is unable to judge due to poor health, and has been replaced by Ms Fran Matthews. Ms Matthews will be judging Groups 5 & 7 and General Specials. ENTRIES ARE STILL OPEN, and will be accepted until COB on Friday 27th May. Please support the show as we have some really small groups and need your entries. Could you please repost this as needed to ensure as many people can read this as possible. I have sent it to Oz Show List and Facebook. Thanks, Nadia Attridge, Show Secretary
  6. CABOOLTURE AG SHOW IS STILL OPEN - I will be taking entries until the end of next week, Friday May 27, but then they will be closed... Please please put in an entry or two, four of groups are still very small... Thanks, Nadia
  7. Hi All, Truly, I get you are sick of me...so please enter the Caboolture Ag Show on friday June 10th and I will stop posting We have a very small show still and embarrassing numbers in Group 7, 5, 6 & 1, so please if you can help out and put in an entry or two that would be awesome. Happy to take entries either through the mail for this week and most of next; at show training for Caboolture KC at the Caboolture Showgrounds 7pm Wednesday night; at any show we are at on the weekend (just call me and check) or VERY happy for you to pass them onto Debbie and Jamie Creagh wherever you see them. I am astounded how many breeds that there are NO dogs for. Lots of Challenges going begging and we are so close to metro Brisbane, that a lot of Qld and northern NSW people can get to us easily. Many thanks. Yours, Nadia Attridge
  8. Hi All, Just wanted to say that I am happy to take entries at any show you see me at over the next two weekends. Jason Attridge with JRTs will be doing Biggenden on Sunday, so feel free to give him entries please. Also, Debbie & Jamie Creagh who have Labradors can be given entries too. I'm not sure if they are doing Gold Coast, but if you are doing the shows and you see them listed in the catalogue, hunt them out and give them your entries. This saves you a stamp. Please don't forget you need an SAE for gate passes. The area has EXCELLENT parking right at ringside, so you can just drive into place. And plenty of amenities close by. So, please get in those entries and help us keep our Ag Show. Any enquiries feel free to contact me. Thanks, Nadia Attridge
  9. Thanks! We certainly need every entry we can get. Some of the groups are ridiculously small, and we would really like to get some decent numbers in all groups, at the moment it is a very small show. I just want to assure people that Jane Armatys is progressing well from her operation and still very keen to judge her two groups. So please Group 5 and 7 exhibitors get your entries in and support Jane. Look forward to seeing you at Caboolture Ag on June 10th....entries are STILL OPEN!!!!!!! Nadia Attridge Show Secretary
  10. Hi DOLers. Just a reminder that the Caboolture Ag Show on Friday 10th June (the Friday before the Queen's Birthday Long Weekend of speciality and all breeds shows) is STILL VERY MUCH OPEN and we really would love your entries. We have a panel of judges that combines Overseas, Interstate and Qld judges and we would love to see you at Caboolture Ag. For those of you coming to Qld for the specialities and the all breeds shows on that long weekend, we are a way of getting a third all breeds show and given that we have plenty of space for camping and shower and toilet facilities at the Caboolture AFL Grounds (which is where the show is being held), it makes coming to our show even more convenient. I know many interstate exhibitors have in the past done the Toogoolawah Ag show on the Friday, but this year Toogoolawah are not having a dog section so we invite you to come along and help us keep our Dog Section as many clubs have lost theirs. Our judges are: Group 1 & 6 - Mr Christopher Moore (Vic) Group 2 - Ms Charlotte Holman (Qld) Group 3 & 4 - Mrs Joan Beech (CANADA) Group 5 & 7 & GS Mrs Jane Armatys (Qld) Entries will be open for a while, but given closing date is tomorrow, I just wanted to encourage all of you to please enter the show. If you have any queries do not hesitate to contact me, and remember your SAE for your passes. Thanks, Nadia Attridge Show Secretary 0754 283420
  11. People who sneak an entry in the post today still might get in to Caboolture KC....worth a try if you would like to enter. We don't have big numbers, but we can guarantee you a fun day (you know Caboolture it will either be sunny or wet :D ). So please come along and support the club. Thanks, Nadia Show Secretary
  12. Hi Team Snag, Joy Lanham is cataloguing and accepting entries for us for this show, usually I do the entries, but this is a crazy time of year as I have overseas visitors too.... I haven't spoken to Joy today, but I would assume that she still might take entries on Monday (at the latest), so if your entries come to us we can send them on in time I would hope. I will let the list know when we are definitely closing. Nadia Radcliffe Show Secretary CKC
  13. Gosh Team Snag, we don't have many for ANY Group. We were hoping Group 4 would pull a big entry as Mr Adam Druce has not judged in Qld before and is a Group 4 specialist....and seems like a really lovely person (from my delaings with him). Please encourage everyone to put in any entries they were considering... Nadia Radcliffe Show Secretary CKC
  14. *BUMP* Just wanted to mention that Caboolture KC is really lucky to have Mr Stephen Peel from Fragglerock Kennels in New Zealand coming to judge Group 5 for us. Stephen is a working dog specialist, and we are super hopeful that all working dog people will get onboard and enter under him!! Most of you would know that we try as hard as we can at Caboolture KC to get breed/group specialists to judge in their specific group, so we really ask exhibitors to come along and show your support for our club. I know so many of you have been affected by the floods in one way or another, and a lot of you probably aren't feeling very dog showy at present, but we do need entries to help keep the club moving along. Many thanks to those of you who have entered. We only have a small entry to date, so any additional numbers will be welcomed. Nadia Radcliffe Show Secretary
  15. YES, Caboolture KC is still taking entries. These are to go to Joy Lanham (as per Dogworld) with phone enquiries to me, please. Entries will be accepted all week, so please, if you were thinking of entering, now is the time to put a few entries in the mail. Caboolture KC is on 20th February at Caboolture Showgrounds Main Arena, and entry is via Beerburrum Rd. We look forward to seeing you at the show.... Nadia Radcliffe Show Secretary
