  1. BB

My bitches breeder and the breeder of my bitches dam have visited and both agree that there is something about this girl (although they also think the whole litter is amazing)

Would love to see some photos! :)

  2. Shes going through a bit of an obsessive stage with chasing shadows/lights etc. I did a search in here and it says it can be from a couple different things. And there was some ideas of what to do in threads that people had posted ages ago.. I also did some googling about it, and it says not to make a big fuss at the time, which i have been doing. People suggested giving them more mental stimulation, which im working on. Hopefully it will pass on its own... sometimes puppys go through different phases too (like children do). She has a very active mind so its not surprising shes going through this atm..embarrass.gif however shes not doing lots of other naughty things that puppies do that i read about often in here, but it is something i am working on correcting asap :)

Ah yes. I have read about obsessive chasing. Sorry I cant offer you any advice as I have never personally experienced it. Do you think that ignoring it has made a difference?

I was under the obviously wrong impression that Cav's are quite sedate, laid back dogs. Not the puppies I guess :D . We are lucky with Flynn in that he has a great 'off switch'. He will quite happily lay at my feet whilst he is indoors as long as he has something to chew. Boy can that boy chew!

  3. yeah I know Sujo !! biggrin.gif

That pic is just way to cuteeeeeeeeeee , so how is the little one errr big one compared to Miah going??

Everything has been going great with Miah, altho shes started this new thing im not too impressed with. Im trying to nip it in the bud, I really hope its just a phase shes going through !!! She is getting desexed 31st of this month .

ok, Spill  What is she up to?

  4. Hes sure grown quickly ! Miah is still quite small in comparison! altho shes quite leggy atm, hasn't really filled out heaps yet

  5. Hi . I think its about time we resurrected this thread and caught up on all our puppies antics :)

How are all of our puppies going? Some updates and photos would be great . Here is Flynn aged almost 5 months, we are completely besotted with him. He is such a happy, friendly boy who makes me laugh everyday :D.

    Jules how is Miah going?

  6. Steph you can't go wrong with a FC. I lost my girl in 2007 at the age of 14. She was raised with my children and she was their best friend. Her loyalty was unwavering. To this day I am not yet able to being myself to get another one as it reminds me too much of her. Please post lots of photos and enjoy your boy, they are an incredible breed.

  7. I also had doubts about the merits of puppy school. We were lucky enough to find a great one though which we really enjoyed. Play time was 10 minutes of supervised interaction. The instructor also used this time to work on recall in a very distracting scenario like puppies playing. Only downside for me that the class went for an hour and that is a long time for a baby puppy to focus. I found that half an hour in Flynn would switch off and just want to nap! One of the benefits is that the same group is now moving up to beginners together and they are a lovely bunch of people and puppies. I dont think that I learned anything new in the course but it was fun for the both of us and that is pretty much the reason we joined.

  8. It's great to see updated photos of Miah! She is growing beautifully.

Flynn graduates from puppy school next week. It has been so much fun for both of us. We have been lucky to have a lovely group of dogs and owners. We have a mini bill terrier, a gorgeous Bull Mastiff, Border Collie, Cav x Poodle, GSD, and a super cheeky Boston x Staffy. It looks like they are all going up to beginners level so it will be nice to have the same faces in the group :-).

  9. Bulky sticks are great Jules....as long as you can get past the fact that they are actually bulls ummmm...... private bits ????. They last forever, Flynn is still on the one that I gave him on his first night at home. I got mine from Pet Barn for about $13 for a packet of 3. Good value considering how long they last for.

Flynn starts puppy school in 2 weeks, can't wait! The trainers also have Belgians which is a bonus.

I will post some recent pics up tonight as I am on my phone now. If its at all possible Miah gets cuter with each passing pic! ????.

  10. Oooh cheeky girl! Lucky those teeny tiny teeth can't do much damage at the moment. Is she a constant chewed Jules? Flynn definitely is. I find that lots of toys and bully sticks keep him occupied. At the moment he is constantly chewing so it feels like I am always shoving something in his mouth to save my furniture ????.

I also have him either on lead in the house, or if I can't supervise him he is crated. It is really helping with toilet training as he can't wander off and pee somewhere. It's wonderful for training as well as we get lots of opportunity for loose lead walking and mastering the basic commands.

When does Miah start puppy school Jules?
