  1. Hi,

Need a cool name for a female GSD currently named Foxy, not a fan of the name but know she has had Foxy for the past 4-5 months. Don't know what she was called before but she has had a few names. She has awesome recall so I'd like to keep the ox or oxy part.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    thanks

    :)

  2. My fur baby ate over a kilo of rat sack this morning whilst visiting my Mum's. She was caught getting into the third box and taken straight to the vet. Injection given, lots of green vomit, then charcoal (which she later threw up) and on Vitamin K tablets. She is about 27 kilos in weight.

Wanting to hear success stories............. and lots of them..... please...

  3. Hi, my dogs are in heaven. So eager for dinner. They have always gotten scraps but not a huge amount. My brother bought 1/2 cow, froze it and didn't eat 3/4 of it so gave it all too me on Saturday for the dogs, raw meat along with porridge, honey, sardines, eggs and bones they will be in great shape in no time. Bit more effort but worth it.

Should I still add kibble (advance)? The gas is deadly though, stinky :vomit: puppies

  4. Thanks for the feedback everyone, I really appreciate it :)

They had 3 cups of porridge/honey and a cup of black hawk this morning, and 8 chicken drummette's, two eggs plus 3 cups of black hawk for dinner tonight. I am awaiting the Advance and will up their meat intake.

Freundund - the vet says they are better lean, which I agree with, but maybe a couple of kilo underweight. I will be putting them through some pretty intensive training regime's in the next couple of month so want them at peak.

Interesting the dry food though, I though Black Hawk was good but I agree that 7-8 cups is too much.

  5. They are off the ground Juice, on the porch. Microwave pads sound good.

Looking at the bigger picture, should GSD's need heated beds?? Hey if the answer is yes then I will order some tomorrow, any suggestions on brands, where I should get them from?

(my newest addition, a foster I could not let go, Lab x mastiff from central NSW, must be bloody freezing)

  6. They sleep in crate-a-la-Hilton, doona's inside, blanket wrapped around the outside then crate covers, tarps over the top of all of that, oh and cardboard between the crate tray and the bottom of the cage. They have coats on too, one of them has a double coat on, Sherpa lined (and I thought I was being ridiculous).

It is not freezing but has been getting down to 5 degrees over night.

Just changed the order to Advance :)

  7. Hi,

My GSD's are lean, they get loads of self instigated exercise and are both at least couple of kilos too lean and I would like to fatten them up a bit over the winter. I know they are best lean but it is so cold where we live.

Their current diet is Black Hawk dry about 7-8 cups, bones daily, couple of eggs 2-3 time a week, tin of sardines 4-5 times a week, each.

Tonight I cooked them up rice and mixed it all in and they ate it so I could keep doing that but thought I would see if anyone else has any ideas.

    thanks :)
