  1. The plastic tray doesn't 'hit' the bottom of my girl's crate, but I can imagine it could be annoying if it did. Perhaps put a layer of something underneath? Thin foam or something similar. To make my girl's crate comfortable I bought a 'cut to size' piece of thick foam the size of the floor of the crate and covered it 'pillowcase style' with a strong fabric. She loves it and I'm happy! No cover as yet, the crate is indoors and I throw a small rug over it when necessary.

  2. You said you've taken her to the vet, what did he say? He knows your dog more than we do, so unless there is any more information you can give, I'm afraid we won't be of much help to you at this point.

OP said vet appointment made, not that pup had gone to the vet.

  3. Is she sore around that around, so that it might hurt when they touch her? Or has she recently been bitten or had a run-in with a dog that might leave her a bit "bum shy"?

My girl is often "bum shy" when my boy has been harrasing her and biting her tail a lot (because he knows it annoys her and he's currently a bratty 7 month old  )

No run-ins or recent bites, but she does have ongoing anal gland problems. Perhaps her anal glands are sore?

  4. She meets other dogs almost every day when we are out walking in a riverside park that is very popular with dog walkers, and It's different dogs each day.

I tend to assess the other dogs as we are approaching and I make the decision on whether she is allowed to meet and greet or not, so she hasn't had any negative experiences.

She seems happy to meet other dogs, sniff their butts, and attempts to initiate play, but for the last few weeks the second the other dog heads for her butt she sits.

I wonder if it's because she's never had a play session with another dog? My friends dogs are old and don't want to play. We don't go to the off-leash park following one nasty experience when she was a pup.

Should I not allow meet & greets if she is doing this because she is uncomfortable?

  5. Next week we are holidaying in a known paralysis tick area. I will be checking my dog daily for ticks and have been researching for the best preventative to use but I'm totally confused and need advice

I realise that none of the products are 100% effective against ticks, but would like to know if there is a spot-on or collar that will help repel ticks on a dog who will be swimming every day?

  6. Just had a light bulb moment and checked my account on cleanrun and it states my order was shipped the day after I ordered  Still wondering why I haven't received an email ...

    Check your spam filter!

Thanks spotted devil. The addy had been added to 'trusted', so not the spam filter.

I emailed cleanrun and received a reply that they had lost trace of my order since shipping out! They are re-doing my order. Fingers & paws crossed here that it doesn't get lost too :)

I'm very impressed by their customer service focus
