  1. I'm a dog walker. Some days we can walk KMs other days we get two houses down the road. I walk the dog for them, not me Yesterday I had a dog just walk 2 doors up and sit in the corner, he was so happy just watching life, so we sat there for half a hour and came home. The owner said he was exhausted and slept all day !
  2. If you're not sure, get a DNA test done (and report back here! I'm very curious) My girl is very soft, my boy wasn't. They are also prone to OCD, have you got someone qualified with the breed working with you?
  3. What does that have to do with the question asked ?
  4. I've been following this, it's Been a huge topic of conversation in my per sitting groups Absolutely horrific
  5. I have a friend who has a dog. He is from a puppy farm and is under a guardianship contract too She paid money, cares for him and they come get him whenever they like to breed with. After 8 litters she then pays the rest of the money, gets him desexed and he is then hers. I really wish she talked to me before doing this.
  6. The vets are already on standby. His favourite thing is to break a branch off the tree and chew on that !
  7. Well good news. It's a food allergies. He is on a restricted diet and doing well, have started introducing fish and no itching ! He is also an Atlas. Has destroyed everything in my yard  lucky he is cute !!
  8. A friend of mine is dealing with the same thing. They were given and oddle but on ' breeders terms' the dog is 3 and terrified of everything, the 'breeder' can collect at any stage. She can't do anything with him without their ok. She has had him 4 months and only seen him one week of that. When they finish making their money they will dump him back on her and she will be responsible for the cost of desexing and any other medical bills
  9. I've stepped in for many people who couldn't be there with their pets. You never know what people have been through and what they can or can not handle. If they have taken their pet in to be pts and not kept it at home suffering than that show more love than a lot of pets get. My parents can't be in with their animals. They have seen 2 of their children die and watching their pets leave them is just to much. I take huge offence at them being called selfish for their choices.
  10. He needs a jumper to cover his tummy... Sadly Bolt thinks they are great toys and rips them all off!! Now it's gotten cold it's been a bit better, so hopefully we will have a break till spring now and maybe then we can do clothes!!!!
  11. Well this boy has settle in well. He absolutely hates the cold so, its a battle of wills when it's time to go out to pee He is also allergic to the grass!! Otherwise he is pretty much perfect
  12. What do you mean they have to be watched? Pets at peace here are amazing. Even if there was another company I would still go with them
  13. I've just paid pets at peace last week for my cat. Once she leaves I'll call them and they will come and get her for me All my urns are kept in a big pot in my front garden. Once we have our forever home we will bury them all together.
  14. What would I do? Well to start with, this post would be called something different Maybe 'ex partner fed dog alcohol and I'm so mad'
  15. Ahaha maybe she does need a name change!!!
  16. And it's ok, everyone calls her a boy. I just got her a new pink lead but I'm sure it won't help
  17. Ohh poor Bolt, I won't tell her what you said... But she is a girl She was meant to be a boy and Nick already had Bolt picked out, we ended up keeping it even though there were no male pups in the litter!
  18. He has settled In so well!
  19. Kids are 8 and 5 now !! Both at school, and I'm scared of mischief... Bolt is such a good dog, has never dug a hole or chewed anything up. It will be interesting.!!
  20. Our new Stafford boy. Sophie has called him Jinx Sparkles. We picked him up yesterday
  21. It is very hard to see from the inside. With Kaos she had lymphoma and when she did her cruciate ligament... I knew we had no choice I had to tell my parents it was time for their old cat a few months ago, they didn't realise how bad he had become. My cat is 19. She is seeing the vet monthly now and my vet is amazing and will help me decide when it's time. My husband works away and had a week away at a time, he sometimes says she has done downhill in that time... I really hope she just falls asleep one day and doesn't wake up
  22. I'm looking too and have pretty much given up for the moment. I agree a bit with above. Registered breeders need to start breeding for the pet market, otherwise byb are just going to come swooping in and take the money. I was looking at kitten prices and they have jumped to over $3500 for the breed I like. All that does is keep people who want that breed to go to a byb or find a free to good home one .
