  1. ME ME ME  I've had the HUGE pleasure of handling Thor. We even got shortlisted in a very strong Working Dog line up. He is a truly beautiful dog and I can't wait to see him and his lovely sister mature into fine examples of their breed.

Well done to you all

  2. I've actually found this thread quite distressing.

I responded in good faith and then came back to read other people's responses.

It's painful enought to recall the deaths of beloved pets and share that without finding out that someone thinks it was irresponsible to not do more 'research' or that my vet may not have chosen the most humane method of pts.:laugh::laugh:

I feel the same. I wish I'd never come back into this thread. It's all still way to raw for me  I knew the time was coming for my darling girl but the last thing I wanted to do was spend even a minute researching the "best" way to do it. In my opinion there was no right or wrong way. The ending was always going to be the same, me coming home without her :D :( Nothing was ever going to change that :)

  3. oops. I guess quotes dont work so well on mobile phone internet.

I was trying to say that i think there will be at least 1 blue and white puppy. Ill be very suprised if any other colour pops up though.

    I'm betting on a chocolate ;)

Listen you two......if there is any colour each of you will be receiving one lol ;):cry::o

Wow, free puppies. We might hold you to that promise. :p

Dear GOD if one of them comes out chocolate, I want a DNA test done :p Not that it wouldn't be lovely

  4. HUGE thanks to all the Border Collie supporters. We are home and totally exhausted but just beside ourselves  It all happened so fast that it hasn't had time to sink in yet, but when it does. LOOK OUT  What a truly amazing day for Nahrof Border Collies, I couldnt' be more proud to be a part of this amazing kennel

  5. he's sired that many pups but how many are in pet homes vs show/breeding homes?

Yeah that is the point I was making.

and yes I know SG  The $1,200 they make off yogi compared to say $8,000 (correction his fee is now over $13,000) for a top stud who I'll initial as BL, who's stud performance has been very poor and dissapointing, according to grey owners/trainers I know. Grey litter registrations are way down compared to say the early 1990's (which is a good thing IMO). Back in the day of Chariot Supreme, having 6 bitches in 1 month was considered a really bad month, compared to a full book of 14 bitches. Off topic a bit but there you go.

Ahhh yes I know that particular sire. I used to have to handle vials of his "Gold" occassionally where I used to work. It used to send me into a cold sweat it was so expensive

I even woke out of a dead sleep at 3am one morning after having a nightmare that I hadn't put a cane of it away into our tanks. I actually drove the 45minutes to work to check. :(

  6. A day early by my calculations but Benshiva babies are here :)

Trouble started at 8:40pm and finished at 12.15am. 3 girls and 2 boys. All black and white and all well marked as well.

Mother and babies doing very well! :(
