My aunty's bull terrier X Jessie was put to sleep on Saturday. She was about 17 years old - her exact age isnt known as she had several homes before my aunty took her on. Jessie had a great life, but sadly the last few weeks she went downhill, and the decision was made (with the help of the vet) that it was in her best interests for her to be put to sleep and sent over the bridge. She will be greatly missed by me, and especially my aunty and uncle who have cared for her for most of her life. RIP Jess

Since you put the idea in my head you can't complain when a weird object turns up on your door step.

Since you wont buy Bear any elbow pads, I had to image what he'd look like.
-
Yes you should! And I want Bear to put a modelling show on, on Sat night!

What about these Very fashionable! Heres the link

Is this common for GSD's? I remember my aunty's GSD who I grew up with always had them on his front elbows. They must of been quite noticeable for me to remember that as he went over the bridge when I was 4 and my memory is shocking.

I like them! Very good idea.

I only wash him if he's smelly or dirty, and he's not a smelly dog so he doesnt need baths much at all. Im a dog washer too :p And.. I'll add that everyone is always commenting on how lovely his coat looks.

Riley probably gets a bath once every 6 months

I dont think there is a conflict. Just people discussing what they've heard. I like hearing other opinions.

We went through a stage a few years ago, where everyday for about 2 weeks everytime riley came inside he'd have ticks crawling all over him. It was awlful. Thankfully they havent been that bad since but they're still there. I check Riley every morning and afternoon. He also has frontline and a tick collar.

It seems there are a lot of different opinions on this subject. My old vet said dont pull them out - yet they sold a product similar to above.
-
About removing the head - my vet said thats a old wives tale. He said even if the head gets left in, it will either just fall out, or will come out when the area scabs over.
-
Ive always just pulled the ticks out with tweezers - but that gadget looks good. Ive never had to pull one out though that had been attached for more than a few hours so they've always been small and not too hard to pull out. Vet said its fine for me to pull them out.

Thanks for that Caspers Mum. If you said it was a automatic one Id say I wouldnt use it, but one like you described I think are great ideas. If I didnt own a hydrobath Id use one for sure. Although it might put me out of business

Im not sure what car lovers is, and dont quite understand what you mean. Do you actually wash the dog yourself, or is it like a automatic dog washer??

I'll be making a DVD, although it may take a couple of weeks. I haven't worked-out the logistics of getting copies to people yet. Ok Great. Im in no rush

Anyway, before Alibear interrupted me, I had a valid question. How do I get hold of a copy of the tape or DV?
