  5. RallyValley, is your 70-200 an F/2.8? Im really thinking of saving longer and getting on of these than getting the 18-270. Have ordered myself 35mm F/1.8 prime as I can use it on my current as well.
  6. Awesome thanks Snook :) edited to add. HN is actually cheaper by a few hundred dollars surprisingly.
  7. I got an email from Genes in Motion saying that from March when the new 10day stay comes in that you wont be able to visit. Here is the link they provided for more info. http://www.daff.gov.au/biosecurity/cat-dogs/post-entry-quarantine-facilities
  8. I could be I dont want to go grey and am confused over which websites are real and not grey.
  9. Damn local shop has thrown a spanner in the works. Cant get a D5200 in at the moment. So back to the drawning board or wait until I head to Melb next. I want my new toy now.
  10. Must not let me son see this thread. He would love a Saluki just like Bella. She is just gorgeous
  11. Very saddened to read this. So glad though that you were both surrounded by people that love you. Just a fitting tribute to such a gorgeous girl. Take care of yourself and be kind whilst you adjust. xx
  12. How are things this morning? Hopefully she slept comfortably overnight.
  13. Gorgeous pics. Love the one of the dog on its hind legs.
  14. Just straight lenses Huga. What didnt you like about the 70-200?
  15. Nikon lenses do seem to be very nice and perform well. With the 70-200 the Sigma comes in second but I havent looked at the 24-70 yet Although it will prob need to be the 17-55mm with the D5200 for the same outcome as the 24-70mm on a full frame :)
  16. I am hoping now that the human kids are getting bigger I will have some more "me time" to take photos so figured why not look at lenses that will work with a full frame camera when I am 100% confident and ready to move up so that I am not buying twice again. My Nikon has served me well so would prefer to stay with it then swap. The 24-70mm might need to wait until next years wish list ;)
  17. I have a Nikon D40x at the moment. But I never ventured past the kit lenses. So know the basics but am also going to do a short tafe course. With the 35mm it will be equal to the 50mm on a full frame. Need to go the G model for the D5200, have researched that part of it :) Shall have a look at the 24-70 any idea on its price? thank you both for your thoughts and info :)
  18. Leaning towards the 18-270 as the first addition after the boring kit lenses. Thinking the 50mm ( possible the 35mm due to the camera choice) as a good lens for indoor pet photos, if the Igs ever sit still and then the 70-200 as a quick lens for shows as well as as above. Is your 100-400 an F2.8?
  19. Hi Everyone, I am writing up my wish list for lenses. I have on order a Nikon D5200 so need to be compatible with the cropped sensor and would prefer they auto focused. I am thinking that the 18-140 or Tamron 18-270 as a good allrounders 70-200 F2.8 (thinking this needs to be Sigma or Nikon as the Tamron review isnt so good on this one)For quick moving Igs and cricket pics for OH 50mm 1.8 for now and upgrade to f1.4 when funds permitted. Would all that get me some decent pet, human pictures? So what are your favourite pet lenses and why?
  20. Oh no, Terrible news. I hope the xrays give you some answers. No matter what you decide you will have support here.
  21. They are an import so a few years old to meet the import rules and around $15k for something with around 60-80000km on them. They are the same engine as an evo lancer. Dont like the Xtrails? I see alot of them at dog shows
  22. If you are thinking an Outlander you can look at the Mitsubishi Airtrek, they are the Jap version and are turbo. Its on my wishlist as they are just able to be imported now ( only in the last month) You might find them nicer to look at :)
