  1. Well I got home from work today and she was back to normal So you were all correct, just a tired pup. I took her or a walk tonight, shes great when there is nothing else around, but as soon as there is another person or dog, she hides behind me. She seems so confident when shes "alone", I keep trying to re-assure her, and give her treats when shes being good, but I guess shes only young.
  2. I might do that this weekend. Although my lil puppy is getting better (possibly so am i!!) I'm keen to try anything. I'm going to have to remember bringing treats with me.. I keep forgetting - pats just dont seem to cut it!!
  3. Ah good, I hope thats all it is... in 5 weeks Ive never seen her like this before.
  4. I dont know if something is wrong with her now. Shes stopped whinging. Last night I bought her inside and she went strait to her bed and didnt whinge.. this morning, not a sound.. Walked out and she was sitting in her usual position, but didnt make a sound. She almost looks like shes not happy, but shes still licking me.. she just doesn't seem as "alive" as a couple of days ago. I'm not sure if its because of meeting all the new puppies at training, or because Valkyrie's dog (sorry bryce) was a bit too much of a ... male.. for her. On a positive note, she didn't piss inside yesterday at all.
  5. She was never in a pound, always at someones home. I'm a morning person, even on the weekends!! Well Ive only had her for 5 weeks now I think, but Ill be taking more this afternoon when this dog comes over I'm not sure how its going to go, she seemed to socialise better with bigger dogs.. acutally, she only gets along with rotti's so far. She was scared of a westy, and spoodle (i think) and a border collie X, but the two rottie's this morning at training she was fine with!!
  6. heaps cool. I know its possible, but i dont know how often she would even coem across a cat!!
  7. nice one. yeh i dont think Jade will be going there very often to see the cat. Interesting point is that my sister rescued this cat becuase the owner was goign to have her put down. As far as cats go, shes tops. She used to live with a dog (not sure if its fate.. was a few yrs ago), but I guess its been about 2 or 3 yrs now since the cats realy seen a dog.
  8. Had an interesting expereince today. I had to go to my parents to give them somthing, so I took Jadey for a car ride. Got there , she reluctantly cme inside, btu was ok. My parents have a cat. Anyway they were about 20cm away from each other when i realised, but the cat was staring her down. Once jade saw the cat they touched noses, all good i thought. Jade started makign these weird little barks, but nothing bad. I went to the other end of the table and did some stuff, and they touched noses/ snifed again. Mu mum was holding Jade on her lead while I filled some stuff out, so when i was about to lelave, 10 mintue later I bought them together again cos I thought it'd be all good.. but no.. SCHMACKKKKKKKKKK! from the cat across Jades nose. I now realise I should have left them peacefully, but oh well. Jade was happy to be home again after
  9. well i dont have of her going to the toilet. but hang on a tick and ill get some up
  10. hahaha nice one. Thats the other thing, its not always predictable. Sometimes she just decides to sit, and the pissing is done, and other times she just lies on her stomach and goes for it.
  11. thanks heaps this is gonna be fun, its meant to be raining for the next 5 days!!
  12. Re: 4 month old ridgeback x gsd I got my puppy from Nicole76 when she was 3 months old. We've now had her a month. She chews her toys only, she will sit for her food and usually comes when called, she "sleeps" until about 530 (which is fine by me), however the only thing I cant get is toilet training. I could stand out side with her for half an hour, and nothing, but as soon as we come inside, she's done it before you look away. On monday night, 3 times in a row she did this!!!! Ive read through everyones posts, take her out every hour, after food , after play, after sleep When we catch her doing it inside we say "no!" and put her outside. Im guessing this isn't the right thing. On the occasion she does go outside, she gets a lot of praise. I dont know what else to do. I don't feel like im making progress. One thing, I dont have is a crate. I'm not sure if this would work with her however. Somtimes she's pissed on the carpet, and then lies in it?? (before we've reailsed!). From what Ive read this seems kinda weird. I'm starting training this sunday, so maybe that'll help with this, but I dont know. If anyone else has any new idea's let me know. Thanks
  13. Unless you know lots about ADD (today tonight doesn't count) don't use it as an "excuse" for anything. Makes me so mad The psycho kids they show having ADD are psycho, not ADD. I have ADD, I am typically not psycho. That is all
  14. wow, not a cheap solution but I can see the benefits.
