  2. Just wondering if anyone has one of these and which are good and which are duds. There is: Petcube - seems expensive Pettec - seems from review like there were problems setting it up Dogness - Anything else? Thanks
  3. He is a pomeranian poodle. So far he only plays with water when I'm home. He isn't destructive at all. I pretty sure he just sleeps.
  4. hahaahaha . He needs pool maybe but im not leaving him home with it in the lounge room.
  5. My dog likes to play with the water and splash all the water out of the water bowl. I then worry that he wont have water to drink then. Any ideas? Do these things work well for this? https://peto.com.au/catit-2-0-senses-flower-water-fountain-3l/
  6. Yeah it's the Bravecto one that lasts 6 months. I thought it might work better than the chews coz my dog is quite a fussy eater and knows when I'm hiding stuff.
  7. My vet put my dog on Bravecto, the 3 monthly chew one. He doesn't particularly like chewing it. I was at the pet store today and I noticed the six monthly spot on. I thought maybe this would work better with him. Any one have any recommendations about this? How effective are the the spot ons? Thanks
  8. I have a new dog that was a rescue. I've had him for 6 months. He is 2 years old. A Pomeranian mix poodle. He is friendly and fairly good. But there are a couple of issues. 1. He used to bark at the vacuum cleaner and try to eat it. I've got him used to that now. He just watches it. Doesn't even bark at it any more. 2. He still barks and tries to chases the lawn mower and grass clipper, so i have to put him inside when doing theses things. 3. He absolutely hates motorcycles and skate boards. Barks and tries the chase. A bit of problem on walks if they come along. He sort gets taken over by the desire to chase them and that's hard to get him to control the urge. 4. Separation anxiety is getting better. Just tries to go with me when leaving the house by trying to slip through the door. Whines for about a minute. then is silent. No barking through the day. Just appears to sleep I think. No destruction issues at all when out. I'm getting him used to a place of "bed" for the day so he knows to lie there when I'm leaving the house. He has a "toddler enclosure space" I use some days and seems happy to be there when I'm out, other times he has the sofa and lounge area. 5. Barks a bit at cats or dogs that pass the house. Loves to play with any dog. Barks at noised of people passing the house. 6. He just goes ballistic if he smells a cat outside. There are cats on both sides. I'm trying to get him to react in "calm way to the "cat smell"(of course I cant smell it so I don't know when its coming). Im trying to calm him and get him to lie down and just stay calm when this happens. Any advice would be appreciated. Is this a case for a dog trainer or dog psychologist? Any recommendations? Thanks
  9. Thanks. Had a dental check already. But she isn't skinny either.
  10. I have two little dogs and i think they have got me round their little paw. As they have gotten older they seem to be fussier about their food. They don't seem to like dry food anymore (especially one of them). They are 13 years old.I have to keep increasing the amounts of "nice" food instead. Is this common?
  11. My 10 year old shih tzu just walks in to my flat mates room and just pees there. Has done this a number of times for no apparent reason. She doesn't do it anywhere else in the house at all. She holds on all night without an issue. But given the opportunity she'll just go in his room and pee. Why and how can I stop her? Is it an anxiety issue? Thanks
  12. One of my dogs has had surgery recently and is recovering. I'm not sure how much of the Hills a/c he should have? The tins are 156 grams. He needs to slowly gain his weight back. Any ideas of how to get his interest back into food. He is currently 7kg.
